Had a lovely ride on Bagheera yesterday. So nice to be warm again. Explored some new roads and just enjoyed being on the bike.

The Grasshopper had a long and difficult week. Went out for a ride today on Charlotte and that made me feel better. Then the day ended with smiles, as I got to try out my new chainsaw!!!! The poor trees didn't know what was coming, but I managed to get a week's worth of fire wood and I felt much better in the end!

Love that ride report Bob! Great photos and thank you very much for the wild flowers, that made me smile! That lane riding is crazy muddy but fun looking.

ahhh, thanks Mum! A big hug for you today and hope you enjoy your lemon cake.

Those roads look amazing to ride. Beautiful landscape! There are lots of free music options out there for YouTube. YouTube even offer a whole bunch. In YouTube Studio if you are on your Dashboard on the left hand side you will see all your channel "tools", at the bottom is Audio Library with free stuff. Have fun with your new GoPro!

Went for another drive this morning for the dog walk. This could become a habit. Learning more about my 4x4 all the time, which is good. Even though I live in the forest with endless land around me, it is really nice to see different trails and trees some days. Lucy also seems to be enjoying the new smells she finds on the fresh trails. A happy dog makes me happy!

Charlotte in the Spring I have really been enjoying my new bike this Spring. Having the two worlds, gravel and street, has made it so I am on a motorcycle several times a week now. Charlotte, my 2020 Honda CB500F has been all over the Sunshine Coast now and April just flew by. Here are a few highlights of our Spring rides.

You see, I knew you would be surprised at the level of intellect around here! -
That sure is my little darling. They are so awesome. I love Toyotas! Come up to Canada some time and we will go off roading!

Started the day with a bit of a change to the routine. Decided to put the dog in the 4Runner and drive up a logging road for our morning walk. It was a very peaceful morning and Gazoo (my 4Runner) seemed very happy to be in his element.

Book Club - What are you reading at the moment?

I am currently reading, Home by Seven by Steph Jeavons Here is a quick summary: One woman's solo journey to ride all seven continents on two wheels. A Welsh girl, Steph Jeavons ran away to see the world. She wanted to see the sunset from every angle. She wanted to see an orangutan and a baobab tree. She wanted to become the first person to circumnavigate the globe and ride a motorcycle on all seven continents - and to sing karaoke on the way. ---------------------- It is really good so far and very refreshing to read. Refreshing in the way that she is rough around the edges and doesn't hide it. She speaks her mind and considering her lows in life, still managed an amazing adventure that no one else has done. A serious page turner. -
This is the thread to share what book you are reading at the moment. It doesn't have to be related to motorcycles, but try to keep it to what you are currently reading.

Had a busy day today. Started with a small servicing for Bagheera. Oil change, new plug and air filter, chain maintenance, just stuff like that. Then I worked on my latest video before going for a super nice ride and hike. Rode to a place called Big Tree Park, with, you guessed it, really big old trees. We went for a short hike through the forest and enjoyed the awesome trees. I will do a video and ride report for next week. Then went home and did some landscaping on part of the property we are reclaiming from the nasty wild berry bushes. All in all a great day. Have a great weekend everyone.

Sorry I missed the party. The days are busy lately and time seems to be of short supply.

Of course budget is important, but a photographer friend once told me, it is also how a camera feels in your hands. If you don't feel comfortable with it when you pick it up that is not a good start. You had mentioned a bridge camera, a good place to start. They are always very friendly to use and will get you started. If you find you are looking at a bridge camera on the higher price end, then also look at entry level DSLR's and mirrorless cameras. Those will give you the option to use multiple lens down the road. Maybe you want a larger zoom lens or a macro lens later on. The mirrorless cameras are really nice for travelling. They are light and fun to use. Most also record a nice quality video as well. The cameras these days are easy to learn and have many modes to help you in different conditions. Have fun and let us know what you decide on.
