  1. Same here that's why i put dirt bike bars on my CB1000 only way it felt natural to me
  2. Yes it would be good to catch up. I'm taking a group out there this Saturday for the TRF, going to see how it goes not sure I'm going to like leading people about but I'm doing it more for myself, I'm thinking more and more about what could happen when I'm on my own off road but usually when I've returned from a ride. I've even started telling the wife where I'm going lol
  3. Out the other side on Llandovery Bob the short lane bottom left was the deep one and the other was top right on the map below
  4. you need to speed things up i only posted my photos a few hours ago on the TRF group and I'm now the cover picture now sort it out

  7. I like the genuine Honda ones and its quicker to get them from there. Its no big deal i will be passing blunder road on my way home from work next week
  8. I was thinking of your photo as i approached it and the child in me stopped me to take a pic.
  9. Here we get moved on to make way for progress and try to fight to stay, there they just up and leave, i find it strange
  10. I was waiting to see if you would reply just stirring ?
  11. That's a bloody salt bin for when the road is frozen ?
  12. I had a message from blunder road (thunder road) motorcycles to say the brake pads for the XR were in, so decided to take the dog via the little country roads to Bridgend to pick them up, when i get there they sure lived up to their nick name they ordered me rear pads instead of the fronts I'd asked for? so i bought them to keep in the spares box. That means another visit next week, ahh well it got me out on the bike and i stayed out for another couple of hours, it was wet and windy but the waterproofs kept me dry quite enjoyed it. only took a couple of photos twas a little wet you see The road to the bike shop is not the best or it is the best depending on how you look at it ? Heading up over the Bwlch mountain road And heading home
  13. This ones got to be a winner, This month we have the dog on a misty mountain road, resting beside a lovely waterfall ? except the mist is rain ?
  14. My daughter never had any symptoms so she's always been ok. I haven't heard the wife moan for a while so she must be ok as well LOL
  15. I'll use this for now but i reserve the right to change it later if necessary ?
  16. Weather is not looking too good here this weekend either. Got a ride planned with the TRF next weekend so might have a shakedown ride on the XR tomorrow . Wife and kids out all day so can have a guilt free ride lol
  17. Cool ?although red does make you look like your open for business
  18. I know they all flicker at low revs a bit but mine is doing it so bad that you cant see the brake light in the daytime at low revs the battery makes it a lot better. It also blows the tail light bulb without the battery as its putting out a little too much voltage, I'll report back when I've changed the capacitor. I wouldn't have to do this if my thick mate hadn't sold his XR with my spare regulator rectifier on it the
  19. I'm charging my phone on the bike as i use it for off road navigation and the battery just smooths things out at tick over. I also think the capacitor is duff on the reg/rec as the side and tail light flicker like hell at tick over, i picked a new capacitor up this week its one of my jobs on the weekend to change it.
  20. I got one of these on my XR it's 3.5"x2.5"x1" fitted perfect behind the clocks it don't last long without the engine running though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MHB-Lead-Acid-Sealed-Rechargeable-Battery-12v-0-8Ah-Burglar-Alarm-Panel-Back-Up/174335565663?hash=item2897359f5f:g:O0QAAOSwZp5fFczy
