Well i got one. When i fitted my new boiler a few years ago i only had the old copper pipe for the pressure relief valve going through the wall so i used it for the condense drain from the new boiler with all intensions to change it at a later date. When i came home from work last night i spotted a stain on the ceiling below the cupboard the boiler is in. When i went upstairs to have a look the floor in the boiler cupboard was soaking the pipe had frozen and the condense was now dripping all over it, so i spent last night putting trace heating on the pipe as once it leaves the house it runs about 3m across my kitchen extension roof to the gutter. Got home tonight all the ice has gone but water is still dripping in the bucket below the boiler i found there was a split in the pipe but couldn't understand how it froze inside the house and split. I cut it out and replaced the split bit of pipe and after reconnecting discovered its still leaking, on closer inspection the pipe hadn't split due to being frozen the condense is acidic and had eaten the pipe away along its length so i taped it up with some self amalgamating tape until i can drill the wall of the house to put the right pipe in this is the bit i cut out

I'll have to think about this i used to keep things that have fucked up but i think i had a good clear out years ago.

Shouldn't take much longer than getting it up to temperature. you need to make sure all condensation has gone from the engine if your storing for a while

If your leaving it for a while run it until the cooling fan kicks in that way you know its nice and hot and the fan works

I sent the wife up to warm my side of the bed half hour before i went up. She's a bit more expensive to run than a leccy blankie but it was nice to get into a warm bed LOL

Problem i have is the only dealer local to me is a total cock and i will never go in there or buy anything from him so i cant get a look at one until i bump into one on the road

I felt the same with mine but if the weather was good i would have forced myself out for the TRF charismas ride as there were plenty there to carry my body back to the van

Do you know how he's getting on with or has he had any issues with it, i never seem to see any for sale second hand so i assume people either love them and don't sell them or there's a lot that go straight to the scrap yard

Since November i think, but a lot of that was due to the continuous storms we had through December thought i would get out over Christmas then the flu struck

I find it quite sad as we don't have any problems like that here although i wish those rules applied to some people LOL, I do understand as we do have animals that are pests and are legal to shoot and have seen first hand how people react that are totally disconnected from reality, i used to shoot rats years ago up the lane from my house on the weekends for the guys that ran the allotments there, i killed more than a dozen every weekend for months and they would still keep coming, but people couldn't see them as a problem so killing something like a big cat would drive them crazy.

Four weeks on and i'm just about over the flu, got my energy back and feeling good, might be because i haven't worked any overtime this week and we all got a pay rise today starting from the end of last month so all my overtime will be at the new rate. As for the weekend i have to check over the marmite wagon for the MOT next week i know there's a light out and the bonnet had defrosted a bit so its now on charge, I also have to change a headlight lamp on the wife's car and there's a light out on the daughters car and that will need the battery charged as she flattened it in the week by leaving the interior light on. For Christmas i bought the XR a new clutch so i will be changing that as well and i may actually start a bike not started one since i think the end of November.
