It is rather like skiing. It does take a bit of time to learn, a bit like learning to ride a push bike all over again, but well worth once you have the hang of it. EUC race in Spain. These things will do 50+ mph (depending on the type ) and are great fun, tho as with anything that's fun except sex in the UK, they are not legal. I got my first EUC in 2015. Back then you could ride about without the danger of being stopped by the rozzers. Sadly not the case now tho I do use mine around the village where I live as the local boys in blue don't seem to care here thankfully. Also good fun off road. My first one was a 500w motor but the current models have 3-4kw, the more power in the motor the less likely you are to over stretch the laws of physics and come off. Lean forward to go and lean back to stop. Racing like this is ideally suited to those who weigh 50lbs wet through, my 100kg would put me at rather a disadvantage.

At least when your kids have ridden a bike or even just done the CBT, if they then move to a car they will be a better and more considerate driver for having done so. I think everyone should do a few hours, something like the CBT, as part of car driver training. We’ d all be better for it.

We all have the same passport at present, if Scotland left the uk I can only imagine that those that lived there would get a new Scots passport. it’s unlikely to happen in my lifetime sadly. Laax in Switzerland, last minute thing and was a case of wherever we could find a few days accommodation. Snow is so so, horrible at low levels, ok at the top. Staggeringly bloody expensive but you can’t take it with you…

I had the disks and pads replaced on all 4 wheels of a VW Toureg on Friday. It was painfully expensive. I’ve had it for the last 52k and this is the first set of pads I’ve put on it…I don’t use the brakes much

I had a butchers over mine today, need to clean and wax the chain on one tomorrow as its got some surface rust where I obviously washed the bike and forgot to do it. Need to take my pressure washer to bits to find out why its stopped pressuring and only does the washing bit.

Seems to exclude Norway for some reason, I'd bet the list would look a bit different if that was included.

I’ve been called lots of things, but never that before . My wife worked for a company where the MD was a colonial type, very well spoken with a large period house in its own large grounds. Like everyone else he had to put his bins out at the end of the ( long) drive on bin day. One day he went to collect them and saw that someone had spray pained “ cunt” on one of them. He wheeled it in, didn’t bother to clean the paint off but went and got a spray can and painted “Rich” in front of cunt and just put it out as normal the next week.
