  1. My best mate used to be a green one, Still gets shitty when I take the piss nowadays even though it was 1996 when he had his Kwak ZZR600. I always remember his face when I went out with him for his first ride on it, me on my K100RS. He spent weeks, waiting for delivery, telling me how he would do his best not to leave me behind when he got the ZZR but it was me who had to wait for him on several occasions. No super hero claims from me just competent , he was on a much quicker lighter bike, but a Noob with a new bike and a very twitchy ring. There may have been a hint of putting manners on him a couple of times but only when it was safe Mind you I then had weeks of him telling me once it was run in, yada yada yada. I never claimed to be quick and don't now, but there is something about some guys with sports bikes, got to be billy big balls. . All the power rangers around here used to walk bandy legged like they had shat themselves.
  2. He likes to show his nub to a group of old guys.
  3. Pissing down here. Would love to go out but it's just to fucking grim. Think I may be turning in to Clive.
  4. I loved that when covid hit, they had to wait in their cars to be called in it was bliss. Now I don't work days and we only get a few Treatment Centres (TC) cases, mostly home visits or phone consults overnight so I hardly have to deal with that shite anymore.
  5. I'm glad you are better Pete but couldn't you just have told us rather than another old man groin shot. You're a sick puppy.
  6. Just been out for lesson 4 with my youngest. She is getting better, no spills, no stalls and pulled up smoothly and safely every time. She is chuffed with the progress. Kept the lesson down to 40 minutes which for her seems to be the sweet spot in terms of her concentration at the moment. Did some figures of eight both ways as well big loops but I am more chuffed with the controlled stops. Next steps will be using 2nd gear but I want her to be totally comfortable before we move on. All seems to be snails pace but it is all about confidence with this one. From my point of view I have spent quite a lot of time on the CB125F the last couple of weeks and have to say it is a thoroughly pleasant little thing to live with. Dog slow but that comes with the territory for a bike this size. It does haul our combined weights (over 20 stone) around competently and it's no chore to take her out on the thing.
  7. Incredibly annoying old fart reviewing an unwantable bike and the quickest way to burn £10k on a cheapie chinky. I am pretty bored watch this and join me.
  8. It is mate and formerly the Stannary Town (capital) of Cornwall. King Mark lived near their in the 6th Century at Castle D'Or (of Tristan and Isolde fame) which is halfway between Fowey and Lostwithiel. Also there is Restormel Castle there and a Bishops Palace too. Very historical and lovely place. King Charles still has a big estate house there. I like Lostwithiel a lot, we used to go their in my teens as they had a Disco and Girlies. In fact I originally started as a Postie their after leaving Uni, so know it pretty well, got many Friends in Lostiwthiel.
  9. I have switched to that as well given the massive clue above. Thought long and hard about buying one myself, very nice bike.
  10. Saw Big Country down at the Cornwall Coliseum. Bloody awesome band.
  11. See you got me thinking it's a Voge now.
  12. Seriously do you think he is having some sort of manic episode? Tis all a bit weird and over the top.
  13. See I thought you would be up for some Sucking a Fisherman's Friend banter
  14. I do. Is that your work Pete?
  15. Watched the new Roadhouse remake with Jake Gyllenhaul and Conner McGregor. Really enjoyed it. Good Film. Load of fighty bollocks but entertaining with a great soundtrack. Fuck me does Conner McGregor come across as a monumental arse wipe, don't believe he is a good enough actor to pretend to be like that.
