I don’t know much about current TV’s we always got my step dads cast offs. He had more money than sense, Covid got him but he was 89. Anyway to the point he would get a new telly every year and he passed the old ones on to me or other family members. So we have a couple of steps back in terms of tech. But the 55” Samsung in the living room and 42” Panasonic in the Bedroom that are both dumb TV’s with Amazon Firesticks but they have great pictures and I can’t imagine needing better. Suppose each to their own but you don’t have to spend £1000s to get a decent brand decent size TV unless you want to.

Woolworths pick and mix was awesome. I used to love the coffee creams. To die for. We have some Screwballs in the freezer now, fussy kids didn’t like them. We go to Farmfoods about once a month as they are well priced for the branded crap the wife and kids insist on. . The upside is they always have a good selection of sweets and the food you should walk by. Pork Scratchins, Dandelion & Burdock, Strawberry Cream Soda, Fry’s mint cream, all the good bad stuff.

I lost the plot according to my Mrs. What is wrong with washing your bike in the rain? Gotta get the salt off.

Darwinism at its most effective. Stupidity can be very dangerous to your health.

Mate you are falling to pieces, hope you are on the mend soon. I usually find just when I feel roughest I get a bout of gout to finish things off nicely. Sorry for being Jobes comforter.

It's dim and distant memory but I think there is a line in the Kinks song 'Butterfly Collector' that fits that thought. Something along the lines of 'Come with me and I will give you some Spangles!' I am off to Spotify to see if my memory still works.

As previously mentioned I do like Parma Violets but Refreshers and Love Hearts also fit the bill. The Violets thing for me became a thing in the family when we occasionally bought the kids one of those tubs with a variety of sugary packs in them, nobody eat the violets apart from me so it became family lore that Dad like them exclusively, so much so that they actually buy them specifically for me. I do like them but not to the exclusion of others things. Nowadays I do buy a Caramac Bar if I see one, but not much else. I also buy Fisherman's friends before choir practice. They are a great way to clear the tubes before and during singing. There are all sorts of sweets specifically designed for that purpose like Vocal Zones, Jakemans and others but nothing beats sucking a Fisherman's Friend. Now there is a gift to all you 'Double Entendre' aficionados

Went out for a bimble to book my bike in for a service. Could have done it in on the phone but took the excuse to look at the shiny stuff.

Spent the day with the Mrs watching rubbish telly. Even missed the rugby but sometimes it’s just good to spend some time together. Pissing down here to. Eldest daughter away at college, youngest playing online all day and the boy has turned nocturnal so almost like have no kids for the first time in 15 years. Change is as good as a rest sometimes.

I not a big fan of his but I do like the Motorcycle show he is on. I agree with him being a very nervous egotistical sort of a guy, all that nonsense with his hair at the beginning almost had me tuning out. Was interesting to know a bit more about him, still not a fan but have a bit more understanding about him now. I do like Jellybean who he clearly loves. Not sure I would read his book, I couldn’t make it through Joe Marlers and I do like him.

I like the look of it, but I may be biased as it is an obvious copy of the Himalayan styling. Apart from the alloy wheels I don't see much wrong with it. Bit spendy maybe but looks practical enough. I don't have a downer on the chinese motorcycle industry it is growing and improving and will catch up. A lot of really good tech in other fields comes from China, there is no reason to doubt their motorcycles will get there. If you are honest you will admit the Japanese Motorcycle industry has produced its share of lemons in the past, as have all nationalities. Doesn't stop many aspiring to their latest greatest offerings.

I still think he is a bit of a Tit but interesting to know a bit more about him.

I have a the weekend off for once, just gonna chill out and watch some rugby. I was going to walk the dog today but got to take the Mrs for an X-Ray this morning and it is going to piss down this afternoon so that may be on hold. See how tomorrow goes. I want to go to Plymouth to have a look around a Triumph dealer recommended by my Uncle, who is the same age as me and has a Triumph. Not going to buy anything just want a good look around, but may not go if it is wet, Plymouth is a ball ache at the best of times let alone when it is pissing down. Bike needs a good clean so may do that between the showers.
