Ah yes the old back gate problem. Mind you, it also makes it more difficult for some scumbag to get it out! 😜

Well im now back home with said new goggles, luckily I dodged the rain for the most part but its started raining here now.

@boboneleg just want to pick your brains abit so it rides fine though abit snatchy at low rpm and the idle when warm is rather high 1800-2200rpm and the it isnt sharp when i rev it takes a couple of seconds for it to return to idle and seems to sometimes run on 3 cyl.

I'm starting to wonder if the injectors are abit bunged up or something, I know it needs a service (plugs and oil+filter) but I wouldn't expect that to fiddle with the fueling with exception of the spark plugs but they were replaced in the service it had just before I bought it.

Would you recommend some fuel additive or something or dive right in with a full service?

Still sounds like a spark plug cable or coil pack.

Definitely getting them setup for weight of you plus the bike will/should make some kind of difference, but you'll still be working to the limitations of the limited travel of the rear mudguard?

Or isn't that going to be much of an issue?

He’ll raise it a bit, go more sporty and have more travel.

You have a point, what has to have gone through someone's mind when they've stooped so low and bought a bike that is slower than a vespa

I don't ride a sports bike anymore its classed as a hyperbike apparently...

Though not that he'd get anywhere near me given his hardly accelerates like it's tied to a large ships anchor

You’d be faster even on a Vespa, dude!

They're going to be over 10 years old minimum. In many cases 20.

And older bikes don't do well here......gaskets, oil seals etc tend to crack in the heat.

Plus, Spaniards don't generally maintain them properly.

  7. I don't really fancy tubed tires, but the only real options are either going a bigger and getting a Transalp or a 650 V Strom (with tubeless), or smaller and getting a CR300, or keep the current goldilocks option and stick with not too big nor too small CB500X.

  8. Greyhound, with Tom Hanks in charge of a war ship during WW2, it’s good.

Tetris, about the fight for the rights for Tetris, it blew me away what an adventure it was.

I've been away for three days riding glorious trails in the Peak District , camping in a lovely little campsite and drinking various beers.

Just think , I could have stayed home and looked in on all this claptrap instead ................
