  1. I've put them on bikes for years Fred.......never had an issue. And every phone I've had has a two year guarantee and I replace them with a new one at the end of that period!
  2. So am I right in thinking that you're offering to lend a hand Caroline?
  3. Very true Caroline! That's why, even if I could afford to give up work, I wouldn't do it. I'm someone that always needs a challenge and something to focus on......so stopping work wouldn't be a good idea!
  4. I I threw that one out there expecting @Buckster to jump on it first......but you beat him to the punch Rick!
  5. XTreme

    Baja!!!

For a load of beer-swilling fat old blokes the sky's the limit!
  6. I think if you once had that spark then riding will help keep it alive! But it can't give you the spark that you never actually had. As the saying goes....."Once a boring cunt.....always a boring cunt".
  7. XTreme

    Baja!!!

Waiting in anticipation for the tales of carnage Rick. Pull up a chair @Tym
  8. Well said Rick! Have you noticed how many guys around our age (I'm 66) are such miserable, boring fuckers? It's like the life force has been drained from them somehow......all they ever do is fucking moan. About everything! I look around and wonder WTF has happened to my generation?
  9. XTreme

    Baja!!!

    Anybody end up injured Rick?
  10. You reckon that could be behind the mood of people generally? Because there have been or two situations here recently which I certainly wasn't expecting. Because it's been a year now for all of us whereby we've been restricted from doing what we normally do......in one way or another. The only bit that pissed me off was the first 9 weeks last year when I couldn't ride the bike. Apart from that period it's just been a minor inconvenience really. Having said that I spend 22 hours a day in the same room anyway......so my expectations aren't that high. What about you......are you losing your shit over Lockdown?
  11. Give him my best then Caroline!
  12. My 6.8 incher needs strong support! Can't have it flapping in the wind!
  13. Brilliant! How old is he now and what's he got? Why don't you invite him to come here.......he can mix with his own kind! Not many of us left! And I'm not talking age group....I'm talking Greaser culture! There are old bike guys on other forums........but they are somewhat different as you've seen.
  14. Didn't you say he rode bikes Caroline?
  15. Cheap clickbait title alert just to announce that I've ordered this on e-Bay! The phone has to be positioned on the handlebars now, and I've found that when I get on bumpy roads the weight of my 6.8 incher caused it to droop. Only plastic supporting it you see......but this one is aluminium and matches the bike's handlebars! €27.99 on e-Bay and should be here early next week!
  16. 1978.......the year after the long hair went! Bike is a Kawasaki Z650.
  17. Change the tyres to something that's right for you. If you don't have confidence in them they need to go!
  18. Sounds like you need exposure to the 70's motorcycling culture to give you a better overview of things young lady! And it just so happens that I'm still living in that era of personal excesses and debauchery! So is my toothless old mate @Renegade In fact, I still wipe my cock on the curtains now......just can't break the habit.
  19. Sailing Report needed......without the ass shot if possible!
  20. Good to hear Pedro! Tell the old guy to get some Welsh DNA injected in him......he'll be like a fucking bull then! However.....it may turn him into a savage and he'll start spitting his food onto your plate!
  21. As for the point about people starting their own forums......well it's a case of they prefer others to put everything on a plate for them. And I can tell you from experience that doing a forum takes a lot of your time.....and your money. In terms of money, my business has picked up the tab (offset against tax) on everything for years.....and even after I left MB I still provided the hosting at no charge. No big deal......they were welcome to use it. But going back 15 years I had nothing like the resources I have now, At the present time I have about 2TB of free space, plus massive CPU and memory resources on each of the two dedicated servers.......so this site's usage is inconsequential really. Just software updates and domain, those run to about €60 a year. And I can tell you now that no other forum out there is in the position of having virtually unlimited resources already available. They have to pay for their resources and hope to recoup it by selling subscriptions and memberships. And they have VAT to pay on top as well......whereas I don't cos I'm VAT registered. That's a great position to be in. That being said, all I can do is put a site in place! Whether it stands the test of time is ultimately going to be down to the members!
  22. He is.....you could listen to him all day as his voice is so relaxing. Unlike Austin Vince who's always so hyped up he sounds like he's off his head on amphetamines!
