I got no issue with the French.....in fact I was the one who wanted to move to France in 2005. But I got outvoted 3-1. @MooN breathed a sigh of relief as I recall.

Generally the Spanish are not keen on the French. It goes back many years to when there were a lot of economic migrants who went to France to work on farms and they weren't treated too well apparently.

A husband and wife (he's a Brit and she's Spanish) started a good YouTube channel in recent years......you may find it helpful. I'm sure it would have been a big help to me when I originally started. Lightspeed Spanish

She can do bits, and can understand reasonably well to a point. But structuring sentences, verb conjugations, tenses etc are a bridge too far. I did Latin up to O Level so verb structures in Spanish were no big issue for me. I also did French as well so that helped too cos there are a lot of similarities.

No....I'd alternate between the countries. Realistically she wouldn't go without me anyway. But the chances of getting into NL in the current circumstances are remote.

It's complicated Chris! The wife still wants to move to NL to be nearer Scott (who's her boy). Plus most of the people there speak English. Whereas Steve in Poland is my boy, plus he's bringing the grandkids as well. Thing is, I don't have the language difficulties here that she has, and I'm a lot more integrated than she is. No brainer as far as I'm concerned.....if she wants to go to NL that's her choice. But I ain't leaving Steve and the grandkids. If he doesn't come then I'll go over there......when we can get let in. But that could be a long way off.

After putting out feelers to her father (we haven't spoken directly yet) it seems the Psycho Bitch is now thinking of getting them out of Poland.......and coming here! I've said I'll put everything in place for them.....basically whatever it takes in terms of moving them, renting them a house, furniture, registration here, healthcare etc. Anybody want a deal on the Beemer? Cos it may well come to that......unless I can pull off a series of big jobs in the near future!
