On a CB500X there are 8000 mile service intervals, and the valve check is only done every 16000. No idea on cost from the main dealer though. I bought the bike with 15.5K kms......now up to 17.6K kms nearly 8 months later. I'm going to get Juan Cortes to do an oil and filter change at 19K and 22K, then they can do the big one with valves at 25.6K.

I was at the bike show in London in 1972 when they unveiled the Z1......that was the gamechanger!

Same as mine! Mine were much thinner and lighter but for wind protection they're fine.

Personally I miss the old spit and sawdust bike shops we had back in the 70's. Those guys could fix anything with whatever came to hand!

You don't get bike shops like that here.......certainly not in my part of the world. The best I've been to in terms of presentation is Belmonte BMW in Murcia! Full of Chinkies these days!

Spain is quite happy to have Cockneys and Swansea Jacks......no standards are too low for this place!

Compared to the GS750 it was a lot slower......and the bars were much too low for me. I didn't keep it long, I went and bought another CB750F1.
