I made the appointment last week......I was 99% sure then it was a hernia because I had one as a kid! But I wasn't going to say anything till the doc confirmed it.

Well I'm going somewhere Monday in the car! It's not Baza! It's not Albox! It's Guadix......about 60 miles west along the motorway towards Granada! My boy is working in Madrid for a couple of days so I've got to drop him to the bus station in Guadix at 11am......then pick him up at 10PM Wednesday night!

@Buckster This is the late, great John Lawton (ex Uriah Heep) doing a song for a Harley commercial in the 90's! He had an amazing voice......somewhat wasted on this awful Harley song though!

Why would they need to shave them? They go in via keyhole surgery in your inner thigh, and then apply gauze to the tear. Nothing is done externally as it was years ago.

And I don't think I'll be far behind @Tango As you know I injured my stomach and back muscles with the horrendous cough I had with the flu. Unfortunately the damage went further......I now need a hernia repair! I actually had a hernia operation on the other side as a young child which left me with a huge scar......which has faded away over the years. However, it appears it's all done by keyhole surgery and local anaesthetic now and they cover the tear with gauze......takes about 30 minutes apparently. The papers have been put in so I just have to wait to be called by the hospital. I always fancied having my nuts held by an attractive early 30's Spanish bird.......but a hernia examination wasn't really the circumstances I had in mind! But at least I had the experience, and with the wife looking on as well.......and I'm not in the shit!
