  4. She claims Universal credit, but also does 2 part time jobs.
  5. Originally a Cockney, cor blimey, love a duck.
  6. I doubt that he is bothered, he seems to think retirement (how can you retire if you have hardly worked ) is a lifetime away, he will be shocked how quick it comes around, but that is not my worry, I just worry that his girlfriend will pay back the £150 she has loaned of us this month so far.
  7. Sorry for hijacking your thread @Six30.
  8. Supposed to be if he claimed unemployment benefit, but he does not sign on, lives off his girlfriend. When in the past that he did sign on he kept getting sanctioned for not turning up for training schemes.
  9. He did have a good job steel erecting till he was 20 or so, but the boss got fed up of him only turning up 3 or 4 days per week, got his marching orders.
  10. He may be 42, but his brain is 14 years old, he rides around all hours of the day and night on his mountain bike getting stuff ( beer & cigs) off of his so called friends. I am so glad he does not live here.
  11. My son is 42 years old, and he still won't find a job.
  12. Amenities are a bit lacking, no electrics or toilet facilities, still worth £25 a night.
  13. It is not big enough to let it get in a mess. Crap stuff I throw away as soon as possible, there is nothing much in there nowdays, since the Boxing night thieves stole most of the tools.
  14. This one seems fit the bill..
  15. Looks like a (normal) quiet weekend........no gardening involved. A ride out ...dare not ask.
  16. Be careful what you post over there!.
  17. These have got to go in the autumn....
  18. The Poppies and Peony get swamped almost every year, they are better at forecasting the (bad) weather than the Met Office.
  19. Go for it .....the collection and storage of the seed heads of that flower are straight forward, next year you can have a garden full of them.....Best of luck. The Peony has started to bloom too, so bad weather definitely on the way.
  20. Plenty of info on the Web, seems some Spanish seeds need soaking in water to soften them, being from a much warmer climate I doubt they would need freezing, from what I read I think the room where I put the seeds to germinate is too cool, says 20 to 25c, our spare room only gets to that temp in a heatwave.
  21. It is only (that I know of ) Poppies that need freezing. As said I have tried a few seeds from Spain over the years, had very little success with any of them, well actually no luck, managed to get some to germinate, but they withered and came to nothing, may have had more success if they had been In a greenhouse.
  22. That is what I do with the Poppies, dry them till they are brown and shake the seeds out, the Poppie seeds have to have several weeks in the freezer though, or they won't germinate the following year. I bought some seed heads back from Majorca one year, got the seeds out, put them in potting compost the following year, they did nothing.
  23. Our Poppies have started to bloom, so we can expect it to piss down with rain soon and destroy them!.
  24. Hello & Welcome......I can't even remember being a 37 waist never mind 37 years old.
