The 10% rise is most welcomed, and my wife receives another £2 per week on her PIP payments. But thank the Lord that I have been miraculously healed from my other ailments that I no longer receive Attendance Allowance. So after April we will in effect be much worse off.
-
I will paint them without removing them, I will hate every minute of doing it though.
-
They will come off easily, but nowhere to stand them while they dry.....with it being a 1 bedroom bungalow we are very short of space.
-
Half the trouble is the doors in the bungalow are wheelchair friendly, they are way much wider than standard door, they take a age to paint.
-
I hate decorating......emulsion painting I can get on with, but gloss painting..
-
We have to put coasters on the top of our cups of tea.....or we get a film of dust on them if we don't.
-
The guys do their best to clear up the mess they make, but it's the dust that's floating around, a hour after they have left it settles on every surface..... Be a good thing when it's all done, but that may be the middle of next week, then I can think about decorating both rooms.....
-
It's the associated dust and dirt that accompanied ripping down the old ceilings, loads came out of the roof space too..........and its nowhere near over with yet.
-
It's a toss up between them, or my wife finishing me off 1st.
-
They ripped down the old ceilings in the kitchen & bathroom, and put up new (the guy said) mould resistant plasterboards, and plastered it today.......needs skimming when it's dried..
-
Like living on a building site....we get a day off from the workmen tomorrow... they back on Thursday, have to empty the kitchen again, and (God knows why ) they have turned our gas off, good thing it's a bit milder.
-
Yep best wishes @Tango for tomorrow.

Outside of the border of Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire would be a nice start for me.
-
That's the story of my travels, I have not done more than 300 miles on the scoot since I bought it.
-
I doubt I do anywhere near 6,000 miles per year, the tester said they were starting to crack and perish around the wheel rim, must be in the inside as the outside looks fine.
-
My tyres perish before I wear them out, so the MOT tester seems to think, at every every MOT i get advisories for at least 1 perished tyre ..
-
My daughter is 39 this year, and my son will be 43, but his brain is still 14.
-
FFS.....its snowing....hope it doesn't amount to much.
-
I know the other reasons, but as I say it would sound like me moaning
-
When my wife stopped riding pillion I went out on the scoot/bike less and less, I hardly ride nowdays, i could go into greater detail but it would just sound like me moaning. If I sat down and really thought about it I would come to the conclusion that the scoot is really not needed. So in effect I have lost my mojo.

Our neighbours dog at the moment. ......glad I can't hear it, it gets on my wife's nerves.
