  1. She's led a sheltered life cos they usually want a whole cornucopia of things
  2. Thats fine though isnt it, it is a motorcycle forum with a ride report section. He's not the only one who drops in, leaves a ride report and disappears. Plus I don't think everyone is comfortable joining in until they know the environment. Six was pretty quiet when I first joined and now we get pics n van action n laughs. Just takes some folk a while to warm up. I nearly went on a trip with Motorbiker but other things got in the way. Before I joined he was keen I knew what I was getting into so gave me the contact details of others going. They have nothing but good things to say, he's organised, considers all the angles, appreciates its everyones holiday so leaves options open and every single one individually commented about how quick witted and funny he is. If you're being slow on the uptake he takes no prisoners and by all accounts is larger than life. Thats the sort of person most of the folk on here would have loved sparring with. He also very kindly went out of his way to help me out with good advice when I started riding, he's a wise man. That to me is an asset.
  3. I'm shocked by the sudden marked reduction. Camped next to a river near Ben Nevis didn't see a single fly/midge/moquito. Cleaned my visor twice the entire time I was away, usually it needs doing every day. Somethings not right.
  4. Where's @Motobiker? Needed for Leatherman purchase advice- I know you have one and it will have be a considered purchase!
  5. Just had a look on the other place. Haven't been there for so long I couldn't remember what it was called and had to google it She last posted there 23 rd June. Maybe just found a new place to play.
  6. I like the look of their stuff. Read good reviews of it but for road riding the metal panniers hold more, lock easily, have liner bags that easily pull out so no unpacking repacking ... and they create leg space when you want to take a lie down in the gravel but don't want to get your legs squashed
  7. Sleeping in a van in hot weather Unless you're sleeping with the doors n windows open
  8. Heyho. Though some folk have a separate email for any social media accounts so the million a day notifications don't bung things up. Sometimes notification emails from here go straight in the junk folder on my email and I hardly ever check that. So she might not have received it.
  9. I'll get the pics together soon. I use Mac at home and it doesn't play nicely with uploading to here, or at all generally
  10. Guess you've gleaned by now its a collaboration. Made in India, owned by an Indian company and designed using some of the better British end of things. I still have the 9T and I see why that would have thrown you off, soz about that, I just don't see them in the same class at all. The 9T might be BMWs offering of a retro bike but doesn't look like the old 90 or any old bike, its looks and power are far more modern than the plod along classics they're reviving. I liked the 9T when I first saw it but was surprised they were selling it with a retro tag when it only nods in that direction. Then the price tag and the build quality of BMW (Petes donkey aside) to me is in a different ball park.
  11. A dodgy sounding date of mid October. We'll see!
  12. Riding, having issues keeping my phone (or anything else) charged, being soaked, knackered and moaning to myself a lot I got pics for you I just need about two weeks solid sleep.
  13. Says the rider of the number one selling girls brand..
  14. Well I’m excited about it. I don’t think I’ll have any trouble moving it on if I’m not taken with it.
  15. Yer multimillionaire Mahindra. Made me wary about handing over deposit. Norton.. house of glass. Sat on one at the NEC it’s quite a lump!
  16. The write ups are good but bike journos fawn over almost everything don’t they, they have to or no-one would give them a bike to review https://www.motorcyclenews.com/amp/news/new-bikes/2022-bsa-gold-star/
