Look up ive re- edited a section..

You talking to me ? If yes...the point is I can't understand why someone would want to watch a bike turn into a pille of rust...the guy is a lineman for N.B power...has a 2 door garage attached to the house...how much room does a bike take...to me it's like burning money in a fire pit... I might be over estimating the market value for that bike in goodshape without rust...but you can get one of those everyday around here for 15 Canadian funny money...now..I wouldn't bother with it for 2 thousand...it would be only to breack it up for parts...
-
With the speed limiter turned off...ive heard some have them going 600kph...lol.
-
It's a shame...sold the bike locally and before getting the blue 2015 i had a look at it , the bike maybe did 2000 km the guy never rides it...was thinking of buying it back..the bike is totally destroyed..rust bucket..store in a shed , don't know how everything got rusted so bad on it...non heated shed , im thinking he was opening the doors when there was exteem temperature change and humidity sat on it...the bike looks horrible now..
-
It was pretty well bulletproof...lol...if my memory serves me well , it was faster than a stock 110 at the time...dam thing would run 200kph ...the indian does 180...lol.

You didn't know I had and 09 classic , good machine it was 96 ci but..loaded with a passenger it just didn't have enough ouff, a specially when over taking a lori...so I had them bump it up to a 103 not sure exactly what stage they were called in those years ...the kit came with manual de- compressors , one failed on the return ride from laconia one years...drove it basically on one cylinder for 600 km or so to reach a HD dealer, the Harley brand de- compressors were junk . Upgraded them to Vulcan decompess...
-
Wish they offered the option thoe....seriously who would want to do any serious off road on a Pan- am...those things are ridden 99% of the time pavement ..think I've ridden the indian more often off road than most Pan- am owners...lol.
-
Oops !!!! My mistake..your right.

WTF !!!...they got a special on Russian vodka ?....lol.
-
Are you a believer now ...lol...belt drive...
-
I think and average for the KTM, 20 thousand km before the chain would start slapping around..that's with good service, cleaned, lube, tension checked almost every time...it has 90 thousand km now...you do the math..chain and sprocket every 20...sure belt wouldn't work on most adventure bike but 90 % are used on roads anyways Pan- Am not sure I've heard anything negative about the belts..150 hp...think most manufacturers have miss the boat on this one...
-
09 ? The belt is 17 years-old , how the belt looking..any visible cracks ?
-
You must be getting close to 100 thousand miles...what's the mileage ?
-
The belts today ...to me are pretty well indestructible , the technologie must have improved greatly....not to brag or anything, 122hp at the crank , almost 130 in torque and the thing weight a ton , no way in hell would chain and sprockets last for 100 thousand miles , just the time and lube you save over years...doesn't make sence to me...
-
Have you ever replaced the belt on your bike @Buckster ? How many years has it been on...?
-
How many years ago was that Clive ...year and mileage ? I can't fantom snapping a belt with a 300cc , unless it was the earlier years when they first came out....and the belts weren't has good I guess...
-
Don't know why other manufacturers don't offer more belt drive , to me it feels the same has a chain drive , just the cost saving to the manufacturers..shaft drive to design and machine all of the parts ...$.....anything under a 130 ish hp...belt is the way to go for road bikes...
