OK your admiting its not regular crank assembly, welded or not...it's not a crank that comes in , in any shape or form in a stock Harley...unlike the Indian...
Your such and idiot....lol... I have maintained and service one of the most complicated bike that was ever built by man for some 20 odd years....the KTM 950 , and its still in mint condition...and wouldn't be affraid to take it cross country...wyll you only worked on tractor engines...lol.
Well I can actually tell you that the Harley engine in King of the bagger are not pressed in crank design only...they are all welded and modified, the Indian Challenger uses the same exact crank that is in my 2023 with no modifications and those thing run around 180 hp....try doing that with a stock Harley crank and let me know what happens...kaboom!! Lol.
Well answer this Mr Scotty , why everyone who know anything about Harleys and who are doing any serious engine upgrades ....the first thing they change out is the crank to a welded one....
Anyway Buck even someone like you with little mechanical know-how can tell you a steel one piece crank is way stronger than a pin press or a welded one....
By the way no engine components are from China....get your fact straight...you are starting to sound like the BBC....lol
The powerplus is all American steel made in house in America...
Its been on my mind for a long time , im currently looking for a KZ 1000 , 78 or older, chain drive ones...has a project bike, but they are extremely hard to find...ones that are in fare shape...
Hey its a new engine, a few bugs are expected...all those issues have been resolved, unlike Harley who tell there customer...its all normal having and crank vibrate apart at 20 thousand miles....what you are failing to recognize is that indian uses a one piece forge crank and Harleys are still using a press pin crank...soon has any little increase in power output those things explode through the side case....
The oil pump is only 1 of many problems with these engines, literally junk , you can't even do 20 thousand miles without a major engine failure...and you know it ...ive heard through reliable source harleys top lead engineer, that they acquired two powerplus engine from Indian and they are reverse engenring them in a secret location somewhere in the Nevada...
Would you stop with your non- sence , Harleys gen 2 m8's are exploding left and right , due to poor shit parts , cranks breaking in half , oil pumps failing like cnn TV rating...go look and Harley forums if you don't believe me....
