A gimpanzee?

Well, fairly typical hospital food I guess. There was a vegetable soup as starter most nights, which was beige and completely tasteless! I think it's a bit like airline food, where it's there more to combat boredom rather than its actual nutritional value!

That was the hospital food!

TBF the food wasn't bad and I wasn't disturbed too badly, as I had my own room with a toilet/shower room. All the staff there were really nice too. But I am glad to be home.

My only previous overnight stay in hospital was in the UK, and it was like being at a football match! My eldest son has spend a good few nights in hospital and complained about the same thing.

It's possible, but doesn't explain why I'm still pissing blood though?

They'd have to find my brain first, and I don't think they would have the time to spend that long looking!

Why can't they do it quietly?

Got sprung from the hospital this morning, so I'm back home. Bloody knackered though. What is it with hospitals and people shouting all through the night?

Oh yes, and refused any painkillers! That showed 'em!

Shade for the staff's cars during the hot summer and produces 40% of the hospitals power.........and staff nor visitors have to pay for parking!

I've got to say that the hospital has been really good, apart from being very late going down to theatre on Friday afternoon! Some of the conversations have been like an episode of Give Us A Clue, but got there in the end! Even the doctor has a sense of humour. Inspecting the pee pot this morning: "ah, nice colour. Like a fine Rosé de Provence!" Not a bad view from my room either.

Yeah, it smarted a bit!

Well, I'm still alive! The hospital WiFi is crap, so I can only really use my tablet by tethering it to the 4G on my phone, but my phone has been red hot with my family! The operation went well and I had the the catheter removed at 5am this morning! So, if I can pee ok today they'll boot me out tomorrow! Can't wait!

Thanks for the good wishes all. I'm currently in my room, having showered after having the world fall out of my bottom! The nurse walked into the room right in the midst of Mandy helping me insert the jollop! I had very little dignity before, I have absolutely none now! Op is scheduled for 13:30 tomorrow, but nil by mouth from midnight tonight, so I'll be gnawing the legs of the bed by tomorrow afternoon! They keep going on about having showers.........who do they think I am? Anyway, I'll let those who are interested know when I'm out the other side.
