I recently refitted my cogent rear shock after checking it over and had also fitted new cogent valves in the front forks so I decided to head for the whoops near Yarnbury castle did give it a check ride. Heading down the byway to Yarnbury I heard that familiar sound of a helicopter buzzing overhead , I stopped to take some photos as it had stopped in a nearby field to practise hovering . He then headed to towards me and we had a mutual thumbs up as he passed by ........... Suspension test was passed and I moved on to the byways around Stonehenge ........... Round barrows behind me on Normanton Down , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_barrow I stopped in Tidworth for a bite to eat and then started to head back north to get home........ This is an unusual byway as you are riding through the landing lights for Boscombe Down airfield ................. Near Knapp Down there was a wild fire in the distance ............. I have ridden on Salisbury Plain for over 35 years but yesterday was the driest I have ever seen it, all the usual huge puddles were completely dry and huge dust plumes being kicked up by my bike .1 point
