I was born & raised in what now is a big city....back then it was pretty nice....only about 300k people....now there's over 2.3 million. Moving to a town w/ less than 2,000 people almost 7 yrs. ago now, was 1 of the smartest things I've ever done. Oregon is beautiful but there's just waaay too many people on the left side of the state. It's so much more peaceful over here in the NE corner....

To me it is Nute, to me home is where your born if that makes any sence...I did , for about 3 years live in big cities and it's felted so alien to me ...I guess if someone is born in a big city and moves to a place like this..it might feel strange to them i suppose...

Job i am doing now is my Honda C70 bags of power, so much so that the clutch slipped...done that now fitting the correct front forks to it. I am the second owner..bought new by my Dad in 1977..3thou odd miles. Mum rang me 12 years ago to say they had found it in the garage under a sheet..you better come and take it before your brother sells it. I was at Mums before she put the phone down.

Car MOT done for another year.

Covers cured and on the bike with new gaskets. Last one to do is the large clutch cover but I am waiting until the next oil change as I want to change the clutch springs at the same time. Maybe sooner if the clutch slip returns and I need a new clutch pack. But we shall see. More small steps but I am enjoying doing it.

I found a replacement BMW K100 tank of the correct year on eBay close to me and it seems pretty good and was a reasonable price. I need to strip the paint off of it so I can check if it got any filler in it and get a better look at the lower shoulders as the things seem to always leak there. BMW used one tank format from 83-86 and then changed in 86 to a slightly different design with a different fuel level sender, a diff size fuel pump and different tank fixing points. The latter type are more freely available and I had also tracked one of those down as I wasn’t sure I could find one of the earlier type. Using it would mean more welding for different fixings and I’ve decided I’d rather use the original earlier design if I can. I’ve picked up the tank but need to strip the paint off of it. I’d rather not sand it off as it’s a pain in the arse. Anyone got any experience on aluminium with using Nitromores ?
