Tabs performance slip- on

Recommended Posts

I ordered different baffles for the slip-on muflers, when I did ordered the muflers I figure with the catalytic still on the bike , figured they can't be that noisy...but I was wrong..those zombies baffles are excessively  noisy for my taste, at cruising speed without any load on the engine , they are fine...soon has you hit and incline its like a gun going off , rings my ears and it's annoying....like Buckster....so Im trying out the 2.5 inch medium baffles...see if that fixes it.

Well that went well , though for sure I'd have to take the mufler off the bike...was able to pull it out without much fuss...one down...one to go...other than louvers...they look identical.

Just back from a test ride...perfect, exactly what I was looking for...hardly any poping during deceleration and I can now hear the intake noise...

I can only describe what it was like before...like  if you took two pieces of 2 by 4 and wack  them together behind your ears...it got annoying specially in steep incline...or when ever you loaded the engine in lower gears...

You know I honestly beleive Harley opened up that new serie so that they wouldn't be imbaraced by the challengers...so they opeted out to play among themselves.

Call it what you want...sex by yourself isn't sex...it's called masterbaiting...lol.

I know your probably wearing HD brand boxers at the moment @Buckster...just curious, the challenger plaform has been out since 2020...have you had a chance to test ride one ?

After owning both brands I can tell you the dislike and likes from both brands...

Not to dis...on Harleys in general..could be the dealership problem itself..

Roland's bike from last year...after his first service he opted for the popular stage one kit combo...slip-on and intake with a mild tune...all Harley products..HD brand...think he bought the bike in July and parked for the winter late Oct...he noticed the right side bafle was coming apart and rattling like crazy...called the dealer...no problem we will replace the bafle...he did...mid way to loconia this year the same bafle is coming apart again..called the dealer...ya we have and idea what's the cause...the bafle is held together with pop rivets..they come loose from heat , vibration and ratle...the only fix we can offer you is to take the bafle apart and weld where rivets are...

Like I was telling Roland yesterday...I might have hurt his feelings...lol.

I would accept that fix..those slip-on are warranty for a year...it's a question of principle..ive never seen motorcycles bafles held together with pop rivets..they sold you junk...and they probably already knew what they were selling you...

I'd ask for a full refund and put that money down on something better...it's the only way to stop Harley and dealers from selling junk to customers...
