  1. I've always had Tourances on my GS - they were a great road tire, but not so much off road.
  2. Yeah, it's a bit of a hike to do in 2 days. I've done that ride many times and wouldn't be looking forward to it at all.
  3. I'v no idea how they come up with these ratios. Dave in the marketing department probably throws a dart at a board or something.?
  4. They sell them as 50/50 but I'd believe they're more like a 80/20 leaning towards street use more. Felt really odd on the freeway coming home last night - wandering a bit off of a straight line. But that could have been my suspect riding skills or the fact that they're a new tire I'm not used to. Bit of a humm from the front at 40-50 mph, but that's expected.
  5. I have three guys from Ohio arriving tomorrow - after their 1,300 miles of shit riding across the Midwest (Kansas sucks more than anything in the World) in two days. They'll stay here for a night or two before continuing on westward. Will probably ride with them for a bit Sunday before splitting off and returning home. Pics to follow, of course.
  6. Has anyone tried these yet? I just a set spooned onto the Super Tenere yesterday - hoping they do well. What sucked me in was the tread depth; which I, rightfully or wrongfully, equate to tire life. Front has a depth of 8.5mm and the rear has 11.250 mm tread depth. Seemed to be a bit deeper than some ofthe other on/off road tires. Price was acceptable to me at $139 front and $169 rear. So now we wait and see what they're like.
  7. $1.85 per US gallon right now. Was $1.25 about three weeks ago though.
  8. I used to carry a Walther PPKS (.380) as it was a nice small weapon and easy to carry. But now, I just keep a Glock 22 in my truck and don't often carry anymore. The PPKS is just too small for my petite little hands, but is a fantastic little weapon. I keep the Glock mostly for when we're out in the hills - in case bear, mountain lions or pissed off moose start getting upset with us being in their home.
  9. Thanks Moon and Pedro !
  10. Well I'll fit in as I'm no spring chicken myself.
  11. Sounds good to me! I like to post a lot of pics about rides and view other's ride reports - so suspect that I'll be doing a bit of that here. Good luck with the sitec - I like it so far!
  12. Hello all, Earache here. I live in the mountains of Colorado - about 45 miles west of Denver - in the US. Looking forward to checking out this new forum. If anyone is headed out this way, I'd be happy to show you around on the bikes if you'd like.
