I saw so many dirt roads that looked like they led off to a great place - just couldn't get there one the Wing. Taking the Tenere up to Canada and a nice 2 week trip in July - that'll be a good one.

Yeah the pics don't do it justice - hard to capture how big these features are and for how long they extend into the distance. Some of the pics the horizon is 10-15 miles away. Just freakin massive rock formations.

Yup - meeting the wife in Ohio this time. Considering the flatness of the trip's geography, the Wing makes sense I suppose.

Ducati’s Auctioning Off This Custom Scrambler for CharityEarache replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT @Pedro - Or when companies here advertise on TV for a month or two bragging about how they gave $250,000 to a charity. Meanwhile, they've spent $2.3 million on advertising the fact.

Hafta admit - that's one ugly assed bird.

Good point - it almost gets boring after awhile.

Ducati’s Auctioning Off This Custom Scrambler for CharityEarache replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT So how's this auction work? I pay them not to take it if I win? Ugly piece of shit - looks like a 3rd grade art student drew on it.

Yup - the fun never seems to end. I passed a couple of bikes coming the other way - but nothing other than that in about 100 miles.

Next trip: Ohio on Tuesday! Changing oil and doing the brakes this weekend and then blasting off to the eastern USA. Pics to follow .....

Today I got up at 0500 and blasted for home, Didn't take many pics - but I did get in a few last fuel station pics for the fans....

Landed at my hotel for the night - more my style. But I bet they don't even have a laundromat! I'll have to write a sternly worded letter ....

Once again - not a lot of run off room if you fuck a corner up. Sheer rock faces aren't very forgiving to bad riders...

Next day and it's time to cross the desert (high desert - 6,500' elevation) again. Temps go up a bit but it's still pretty chilly. Scenery has changed once again ..

I wheel into my hotel in Torrey, Utah and find that they've placed me in a room above the laundry. Worst room of the trip and the only one I actually paid for! Cheap at $120 per night.....
