  1. Don't think so, I think the LC8 only applies to a twin, buy I am no authority on KTM
  2. Specifically for Mr Can't see for the Vibes, not so hot when you are riding with a group mostly made up with modern bikes, he always has to lead so not to be left or struggle to match the pace. We are all older so don't push that much so not a massive problem but while we are bimbling along at a comfy speed he is wringing his bike to stay with us and consequently not in his bikes comfort zone or his. Plus he is an adinoidal droning fwit so none of us cares that much about him. His only talk is Land Rovers, shot guns and Bonnies and he knows everything about everything else, superior tedious fucker. I could tell many tales but it would be unkind. Now another guy in our group has a stunning 1974 Norton Commando that he has owned for 40 years, nobody minds accommodating him as he is just a decent guy who loves his Norton. I do fantasise about a R80/R90/R100 of some form the 1970's which would probably be close to modern reliability if regularly and well looked after. Don't know if I would ride with my current group with it though. I would love to do what you suggest, sounds like a brilliant adventure.
  3. If they sold that in the UK I would buy one. I really like it.
  4. One of my riding mates has an immaculate 1973 Bonnie, it is genuinely beautiful but he has a problem with the reality of the thing. He will on one breath tell me that anything over 70 mph and he can't see through the vibs then on the next breath tell me how much better his 50 year bike is than mine. I love the old machines the look, style and sound of them but actually wanting one for every day use you genuinely would have to be some sort of masochist.
  5. I just got one of these from one of the Chinese emporiums. Works surprisingly well and packs down pretty small. Gets the back wheel of the floor.
  6. Oh fuck that . I don't like heights at the best of times.
  7. Yep it is true. Not going any more political than that, angry can of worms I'm not going to open here.

    Rain

That's the way I look at it, went out on Sunday in the Sunshine and got rained oni all good. Now if it was pissing down I am not sure I would have got out the door. Not for a joy ride anyway.
  9. I would love a R90S but don't think I would want to live with it day to day. Thing of beauty to me, but still an old bike with bendy cow handling and wait and see brakes.
  10. Opps, the E23 was the 7 series of the time
  11. Mixed cold and showery this morning. Went to the meet before the off and there was a grand total of 2 of us, me on the Hornet and Martin on his Guzzi V85 the rest of them had very good reasons for not coming, I think the main one was they are puddle dodgers and couldn’t possibly get their bikes dirty I had thermaled up with several layers so all was good apart from not wearing winter gloves, but even so heated grips saved day grips saved the day Sone great views from Kitt Hill big skies from being high up On a side note my daughter was shocked to hear I was going to Kitt Hill today, turns out that where all the kids from her college go to shag on a Saturday night. Who knew Nice new small Triumph Some lovely old bikes there and refreshing to see them ridden despite patchy weather. Not my Hornet. Quite like the tail tidy though My favourite bike of the day. R90s. Just beautiful. After leaving there we went back to Liskeard and the Checkered Flag Cafe and bike shop. Great cafe but there was some sort of bike club meet there. All patched up called Widows Sons or something similar. Bit sad to my eye but live and let live I suppose, they were friendly enough even they were a bit old to be a bike gang. Oh and after the inevitable clean up.
  12. Kitt Hill bike meet tomorrow, heading off at 9:00 am with the Fowey Chilblain chapter. Looking at the forecast thermals will be the order of the day
  13. Hes reached a new low with this vid. And he didn't even know an E23
  14. Hailing, raining, cold and wet. Did fuck all, played Minecraft with my youngest and watched Youtube.
  15. Annual leave mate, I had to get it all in before the end of the financial year. I go back to work 16th March.
  16. I am on leave from work so got plenty of time on my hands.
  17. Wow! not many bikes hit me with that I want one vibe straight away, but I love the idea of this thing. Love the look of it, I would have the standard clocks but apart from that exactly as the test model please. Shortarse friendly too. Only drawback for me would be the £17k ish price tag, couldn't afford that without finance and I am pathologically against that. I had an old 1993 R100R that I loved and to me this looks very much like that but better in every way.
  18. Not sure they prepared that well
