True, but still a work of art. I always think art should be encouraged

About 30 as far as I could tell. The whole event had a very village feel to it. Everybody friendly and willing to talk and tell you what was happening. I will definitely go again.

Yep twas a T160 motor,

Fantastic picture, would make a great bike of the month shot.

Both my lids have the buckle, would prefer D rings out of choice but I haven't seen them as an option of most lids.

Heavily modified 900cc big bore TriBSA triple in hill climb trim. The closer you look the more you see. Was very fast and sounded awesome.

6 of us from Fowey went up to Devon today to see the National Hillclimb Association first event of the year. We stopped for breakfast near Poundstock. They thought us old fuckers must be dodgy as we had to pay before they would serve us any food. I personally was flattered that they thought I could do a runner. . It was very nice though and they warmed up after awhile When they realised we were behaving. Trip Stats It was an interesting meet with several interesting bike’s although most seemed to be modified crossers. There was one combination so I guess that won its class. Hartland Point was vey pretty with Lundy Island out on the horizon. Some pretty big balls in terms of pace. Mental buggers. Some interesting stuff in the car park, well to me anyway. Also our little band, my other mate wouldn’t take his Ventura into the field Don’t Blaine him it probably weighed over 300kegs We stopped in Bude for a cuppa on the way home. Had a chance to look at my mates V4 Ventura on the way home. Detuned V-Max motor. Very big bike but beautifully put together. Bloody good day out with the old codgers.

Don’t worry she will be well trained. She is a good kid and does listen. Quite an accomplished horsewoman already. I am more worried about the adventures she will embark on. She is already talking about doing a LeJog on it, guess whose sad ass will be stuck behind her at 50 mph all the way. . Not moaning really the fact she does actually want me to go on her adventures is pretty rewarding. . Not daft I know my main job will be to pay.

I’ve got a couple of those sets, throw away money but useful nonetheless.

I would look at your tyre pressures to.

In the UK you can ride a 50cc at 16 and a 125cc at 17. I didn't want her to have a 50cc as they are very slow and vulnerable on the road. 125cc at least can keep up with traffic on a and B roads. I am hoping that this daughter will go for her full licence as she is bike mad. When she gets her A2 she can go up to 47 bhp then onto unrestricted after that but I am not sure how that goes. I got my full licence before those rules came in.

I hadn't thought of that, that makes good sense. Can't imagine it will cost me much to insure it in the interim until she is 17, which is 7 months away yet.
-
Hopefully she will, she has road sense and has been riding horses on the road for 2 years. I am basking in the glow of best Dad Ever! but that won't last long, I am sure I will be that grumpy twat again soon enough

She is over the moon with it as it is exactly what she wanted down to the colour. I was really lucky to find it only 6 miles down the road. She wanted a Red CBF125 which is what we looked at up at Damerells on Wednesday just gone. Anyway we talked and I was going to sort a new one for her closer to her birthday. In the mean time this 23 plate one popped up on ebay , 7 months old for £1850 as opposed to £3149 new. It was a repo that was cat N written off for cosmetic damage at 4 months old. It has several scuff and dings but nothing that can't be touched up and a few bits here and there and it will look good. In fact it's not that bad now even though every panel is marked. But with a 17 year old owner it will get scrapes at some point. Only covered 2100 miles. I am going to contact Damerells as it may still be under warranty but no big deal if it's not. It rode great home even with my fat arse on it.

Found the perfect bike for my youngest yesterday bought it and rode it home for her today. It’s now locked away until she is 17, but I am gonna see if I can borrow a bike trailer so she can learn to ride it on private ground.

Pissing down in Launceston, going home in 10 minutes. Going to look at a CBF125 later for my daughter.

My Mrs insists on buying her own cars, fuck me has that cost money over the years. The X3 she's got now had to have a cam chain and clutch/flywheel 3 months after buying and out of warranty. She bought a purple Picarsehole that lunched its head gasket not long after buying and then had a collapsed rear axle six months later, at the time all the other Yummie Mummies had them. She traded my lovely old Volvo V70 for that piece of wank because Volvos are for old men. . She has a champagne taste but a cider budget. For what she paid for the X3 and repairs she could have got a really nice recent Jazz or the like but according to her that wouldn't fit in up the stables. The list goes on and on. Every time it happens she says I have to chose the next car but she just can't let me do it. I have had my E46 for five years, and apart from tyres and servicing I have had to buy one coil pack. Its an old Jalopy but had just 60K on it when I bought it from a retired BMW tech who was going electric. Not saying I am some sort of car guru but I have more sense than she has, dizzy mare.
