Returning Rider Looking for advice from the wise and good!
Saul replied to Jimbo 64's topic in INTRODUCTIONS
Thats a good price for one of them, normally much more spendy than that. -
I reckon they were 2/3rds worn out so probably could have gone on for awhile yet. Thing is the new pads were only £5.95 delivered and I had it all to bits so thought I might as well change them as wished I had. You probably know I'm a worrier The reason I stripped them was the MoT tester advised they were low but to be honest I think he said it for something to say. He is one of those look at it and pass it types, he has a reputation for being a bit laid back. I have been going there for years as there are not that many places to get a bike MoT done near me. Plus I like the guy as I said I have been going there for years. I reckon the fronts are about half worn so didn't change them yet, I already have the pads for that. Thanks Fred

Hello Jim welcome to the forum. I quite like the Enfield 350's nice motor if a little bit slow. Good on Fuel for sure. I know very little about Benellis first had, our local dealer is a idiot so never looked to closely, I would worry about build quality being that they are chinese but I don't really know that much about them. I do have a mate that has a Hyosung Aqulia and he is always singing its praises. He is well into his 80's and manages it fine. Personally I would recommend a Honda CB500F, cracking commuter and no more thirsty than an Enfield. I loved mine. But anything Japanese will be the safest bet . My Daughter has a Honda CB125F and that is a cracking little bike, only £3K new,160 ish mpg and a hoot to ride, I really like it. First rate commuter as long as you don't do motorways/dual carriageways regularly. They will cruise all day at 50 to 60 mph but don't expect a lot more. Chap on YouTube called Richard Shepard rode his CB125F to Paris from Solihull and back again without a hitch. -
Japanese light weight RWD basic sports car. I can see how that would challenge your masculinity

Bloody good car mate, When I used to do Saab track days one of our group always brought his Mk1 pop up MX5. Bloody great little car, fun to drive and pretty quick in the right hands. And yes he got a load of ribbing but he won us around in the end.

Did you not look to the right and see the bridge just upriver I know Lerryn really well been there many times singing in the pub and such, lovely little village. Just upriver from where I live . I have been across those lanes when I was much younger, don't remember them being that rough but it was probably 30 plus years ago and things change. Glad you have a good time down here Fred.

Go for it, you could be Hipster Buds with Freddie Dobbs. Actually one of my mates has one just like it. I think it is a bloody nice bike, not fast but a good bike.

Yeah what my Welsh friend said. Reading this report has made my night shift a whole lot better. Thank you @Pedro

Ande let the foul language begin, did just that on my Saab 99T years ago, never again.

I know mate, but it was only Newcastle, who really should have been relegated last season. I watched Bath vs Northampton, rematch of the Premiership final of last season. Helluva game. . Exeter vs Leicester and Saracens vs Gloucester today. Bristol Vs Gloucester next week will give more of a clue on their form.

Great weekend for me, Rugby Premierships kicks off Back to work on Sunday for one night . Not got much else planned, walked the dog this morning, gotta drop Shadow off to see her boyfriend and just taken my older daughter to the stables. Now watching Youtube, got loads to do but can't be arsed.

That is a big part of job satisfaction for me. Best thing about my job, I know what to do and am trusted to do it. Rarely see or speak to my boss, when I do, he is a good guy.

I know now, when I dug them out. Never mind they were not to spendy on Ebay

Passed with advisory on rear brake pads, luckily a kind Welshman sent me a set of those so playing bikes tomorrow sorting that out.

I know mate that's where I'm at, his vids are well made and quite interesting, he just poses and spouts rubbish. But I still watch them.

OMG just look at the annoying Tit with his Piss Pot and shades

Just got back from Damerells bike night with Shadow. Some interesting bikes there but also some patched up twats talking smack about each other. All very tedious. I did like this GSXF600 haven’t seen one of them for years. on the other end of the scale a brand new Daytona 660. Nice Blade

Here we are again. I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed riding the CB125F over here. Something about bimbling around on a small bike. Lot to be said for it. Now I wait . Got plenty of podcasts to listen to.

Off over to Davidstow airfield to let Shadow have a couple of hours practice on her CB125F later.
