Very nice bike, I like the Pipe to. I see someone has spent money on farkles for it. I will be interested to hear how you get on as a Hornet Owner. Did you actually test ride it or jump in both feet? When I first rode the Hornet on a test ride, no decision to make I had to have it. I got these heated grips as they are the same as I had on my CB500F, work very well and no huge control box bolted to the handle bars like you get with the Oxford Hot grips. I have a mate with the Standard Honda Heated grips on his CB500F and he wasn't that impressed especially as they cost more than double the price mine did. https://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/ultimateaddons-advanced-heated-grips/120mm?srsltid=AfmBOopZ3M4zmiCX9-aOnD2wMcvgZLENhA2zjwd4Rxsa9J1CgW48E-Ck3Pg&gQT=1

I think we are there mate. As you know I had to fix Shadows CB125F a couple of times, I noticed there are loads of them on Ebay crash damaged up for auction as write offs with little more than plastic damage. All eminently fixable but insurance write offs nonetheless. It's sad when it is deemed cheaper to throw stuff away rather than fix it.

I tend to attract them as well, I always put it down to me being a decent, pleasant and approachable individual, not sure why you attract them, unless you are hiding your light under a bushel on here.

Are they available Clive. Seems a waste of a decent bike for the sake of a black box.

Bin bit busy the last couple of days but still here. Got a 100 mile bimble in on the CBF yesterday and get the dash and rear cams set up. I have worked out to get the video off the mounted cams but it is a little protracted tis a learning curve. Interesting to watch the tyre pressure rise as the tyres warmed up. I knew it happened but was interesting to see it happen in real time. I do like the Aoocci thinger I have fitted to the bike, a toy I know but useful and interesting to me. Spent some time on Shadows bike this morning as she picked up a rear puncture. Fixed with a repair kit, it was in a safe place to do so. Also noticed that she has covered 2100 miles since her birthday last October. Think she will need a new tyre in the next 1000 miles or so. I took her CB125F out for a 10 mile spin after doing the tyre, all good. I must say that it is a thoroughly pleasant little thing to ride, I don't want one but would commute on such a thing if I worked within 10 to 15 mile of home. Very frugal on fuel and comfy, if dog slow. I remember from riding it in the dark that the lights are very good for any bike let alone a 125.

Fecking hate having work done in the house, living in uproar is a total pain in the arse. I remember it well when we bought our house. My Mrs is now making noises about having a new bathroom, fuck that

That could very well happen

Been out playing bikes all day. The reason I fitted the break out fuse box to my CBF is I wanted an Apple Car Play unit fitted to my bike. All done today with Sat nav, cameras from and back and tyre pressure monitoring packaged in. Seems a reasonable well put together bit of kit and surprisingly reasonable given how much the Unit does. MIL paid for it as a Christmas Present, dear of her. All working perfectly. Now just gotta have a day out to experiment with it. Longest bit of the job was routing the wires, nothing hard just took patience Front cam Rear Cam.

Too Many Tassles maybe.

Yeah true, but I would actually have to want one as well.

If only I could afford a Harley

That's a good idea, could try local radio as well and threaten Local MP, they probably don't know how feckless he appears to be.

I couldn't find any on the wiring diagram.

That's Britain mate. I come from a huge family but I know of maybe two that would help out in an emergency like Clive is facing and maybe one close friend. Everybody is wrapped up with their own problems. Also the current media narrative around immigration and benefit scroungers has fed into a very poor attitude to people in general and real acute need. Homelessness and food banks are normal and just accepted here which is abysmal given the relative wealth of our country . Given that context it's not hard to understand corporate indifference to Clives situation.

I know I did address that under the pictures.

Is it worth emailing you MP? may put a rocket up the feckers.

That's good to know about the parasitic draw, I was told they didn't use anything unless charging something but I didn't trust the feckers May get an Eastern Beaver for my Hornet, love that name

As more electrical accessories become part of every day biking we are going to have to make provision for them if our bikes are not compliant . I currently have heated grips and a USB charging socket in my bike that was wired directly to the battery. In theory they should cause no problem as the Oxford Grips have a smart controller that will automatically turn off after 15 mins if no charging is detected. Also the USB sockets will draw no power unless being used. The problem is that I don’t trust them. I want everything to cease once the key is off. So with this being the case I bought a branded Lightening Box. Which takes power directly from the battery with a trigger lead to be attached to a switched live circuit. So if the ignition is on the Lightening box is, if off the same. There are several similar products to achieve this. Thunder Box (approx £85) Lightning Box (approx £50) Oxford Box (approx £25). I bought the Lightening Box but wish I had gone with the Oxford one as it looks identical. I expect they are all sourced from China and that there are many other options than those I listed. Here is the Lightening box in site on my Honda CBF600 which doesn’t have a great deal of space to fit such things. I took the trigger from the main fuse box on the instrument circuit. You can see the red wire in the picture. Ignition off Ignition on Wiring diagram Easy enough project but I thought I would put it on here if anyone wanted to do the same. Of course you set up your own relay feed triggered in the same way but to do it in a tidy way for 4 circuits would be a challenge and I couldn’t be bothered on my bike with its limited space. If there wasn’t a bleddy great ABS pump under the seat I may have done.
