  1. I can't fucking believe it I managed to fall over again the second time in less than a week. I fell down steps on Monday, last night I fell over in the carpark at work. Slipped on a mud in the dark and went down doing the splits. I felt a crack in my leg and now I have pulled my hamstring. I'm fucking falling to pieces. Got sent home because it was to painful to drive for the next 10 hours. Luckily I work with medics so mine last night sorted me out. Now I am a clumsy cunt I will admit but twice in a week is more than that so those fucking Clarkes shoes are going in the bin. Slippery bastards. Frustrating as I am going to be laid up for my rest days and can't do what I do normally. Now on painkillers, and my leg is glowing with Ibuprofen gel and deep heat. Stinking I will resist spamming this place although I have fuck all else I can do.
  2. My Eldest daughter is 18 today. She is not even going out as she has the flu. Never mind she has a bottle of Malibu to ease the symptoms.
  3. Going on the bike or going back ?
  4. I bet he doesn't live there anymore. I think I went there in 2005, perhaps it has gone upmarket since then.
  5. I did like them too until I looked closer, they are zipped with no locks and £500 with frames. Shame as they could have been so much better.
  6. Took my mate to Damerells and Thors today to look for his fourth bike that he won’t ride when it’s wet. Didn’t bother taking any photos at Thors but took a few at Damerells. I did notice that my Himalayan was in the sold line.

I think they went to document events more than anything.
  8. Do you know what I think that is spot on. Lost his grasp on reality again.
  9. Years ago I remember going to Knowle West with a mate of mine who lived in Patchway to look at a car, fuck me that was a culture shock.
  10. I remember reading Lenny McCleans book, it didn't paint him in a very positive light. Sounded like a right horrible bully. As to Fury he just lost almost all the credibility he had by all this bulshit with Usyk. Sad really.
  11. Yep always, thought about getting a cover.

    Coast Guards were out yesterday
  13. Saul Yeah I think I am getting a bit frustrated with my mate and I am letting it leak out here.
  14. It's just so easy to live with, I think that is the key. No hassle getting out on it, just grab your stuff and go. Light and easy to ride, cheap to run and fast enough for 90% of occasions. I am a convert and it is something I would never have even considered 6 months ago. I have come to the conclusion that I want a bike to ride not be a trophy. In that vein I am going out with my mate tomorrow who has a red CB, he is thinking of buying another Indian (FTR whatever that is) to go with his Scout and a Benelli 502C to use everyday to keep his CB nice. I don't get the mentality myself, he is a bike collector rather than a rider in my opinion. He has covered a total of 25 miles on two wheels since last September. I have told him what I think so I am not bitching behind his back but I just don't get it, thousands of pounds for ornaments and bragging rights. . Oh and he has a Van Van he won't ride because the tyres cost to much.
  15. Just popped out for an hour to blow away the cobwebs. Down to Fishy Gizzard (Mevagissey) then back to Pentewan and home. I spend a lot of time in Meva as that is where my choir is. I am sort of grudgingly accepted down there because of it but Tis a bit of a rough old fishing port really. Looks lovely but the pubs can be a bit fighty. Not so much in the summer as the Holibobs fill the place. Lots of Holiday Parks up through the Pentewan Valley. Meva outer harbour Inner Pentewan

I know someone who works for South West Water and they were all on flood alert for the North Coast of Cornwall yesterday, I haven't seen her to ask if she was called out. My Mrs will probably talk to her today so it will be interesting to know what went on.

Probably on the river bed where the cannons came from. Actually there are some in the Town Museum, I suspect if they left them lying around on the quay they wouldn't be there long.
  18. I have been looking for a rack for awhile for my bike and have seen that Shad advertised but always thought it looked Big, be interesting to see how it looks on your bike.
  19. I didn't know you were left handed Pete.

Not sure without checking but the wind is a significant factor as to when the water invades the town. Not a massive deal here it happens pretty regularly.

    Spring Tide

I popped down to Fowey Town Quay this morning to get a couple of photos of the guns. I forgot that it was spring tides today. Fair bit of water over the quay as well as through the Main Street. Even got one of the bins walking across the Quay. They never should have taken away the cast iron ones. Shame I never went down an hour earlier as a ship went out on the tide, I did get a shot of the Pilot Cutter coming back in. I do like The Rook with a Book. It’s to celebrate Daphne Du Maurier book ‘The Birds’. Also tried to get some photos with Place House in the background. The Treffry family who built it were also the ones behind the River defences. They were originally Privateers who robbed the Spanish and French blind at sea hence the reprisal raids, hence the River defences. Place House is deliberately built taller than the church and probably gives an insight to the family’s ego. The message is there for all to see and has been for hundreds of years.

Fowey Guns Only two now, I will try and find out what happened to the third. Still twice as many as Pollyrooster St Catherine’s Castle at the River mouth. The are to large articulated gun inplacements on the flat section below the tower. I will take some pictures the next time I am up there with the Dear Boy. Polruan Block house.
