  1. Moose do a terrible job washing cars! I would worry more about coug
  2. well since there are no fuel stops between the Yukon and the Ardtic Circle you kinda have to do that anyways. I known folks who ran short, not fun but the local mosquitos enjoy some fresh meat.
  3. it hits all the taste points, unhealthy as you might imagine, and yeah looks about as appetizing as shrimp and grits.
  4. good BBQ is the food of the gods, especially if it's been on the smoker for several hours. We have a pellet smoker and will cook stuff low and slow and its magic.
  5. America is coming around to poutine, which always sounded really awful to me until I tried it. Now when we make the beer and Britsh stuff run to Canada it's our first stop.
  6. it's sold in our area to keep the Mexicans happy, we have them here to do the jobs americans won't do, which is surprisingly a lot.
  7. ZZ Top, been together for 50+ years. Aerosmith are pups compared to the beardie boys
  8. not nearly enough chrome on those wires! You was robbed.
  9. $2.09 here, from a low of $1.49. Gaylord got down to $1.17, filling up the rover for under $25 was a treat. Heck we would fill them up and idle them all night long.
  10. I wasn't even jumping or anything! My plan is to replace the bearings with the axle, when I can eventually find them. Until then I do have the Ninja 500 backup auxiliary bike, it's a kwacker but I wear a helmet, nobody will know it's me.
  11. Coming back from downtown Sturgis, we followed a woman on a Sportster who absolutely would not lean her bike. She was so determined not to lean it was hilarious and frightening at the same time. One could almost argue that it took considerable skill to ride that bolt upright but the wobble told us otherwise!
  12. if you live in any kind of rural area its hard tp meet like minded people without the internet. We still haven't found a good group to ride with, its all patch clubs, middle age mods and drunks on scooters that have lost their licenses so its a 50cc scooter or Shank's pony for you boy.
  13. no riding for me this weekend, the Tiger snapped the rear axle on my way to work and had to come home on a trailer. We've added it to our own BBC, aka Broken British Collection . Triumph parts are a bit hard to find out here in the sticks, and oddly that axle is being hard go find on the internet.
  14. I still like the Himalayn, or something lighter than the Tiger for the sandy trails in our area.
  15. pretty much the same for me. The Thruxton was not that comfortable a decade ago when I almost bought one.
  16. more states are going with "constitutional carry" if you are legal to own you're legal to pack. MI is open carry but unless I'm fishing with the bears I never did bother with it. I'm hours from Detroilet here, safest place I've ever lived, but it's about time to get the CPL because we can. I like my Walther PPS in 40 S&W. built like a watch. Jan has her Ladysmith with the laser sight, we have shooting dates, it's like bowling but you don't have to wear those funny shoes.
  17. 190 lbs going in, 190 coming out. Thats been stable for probably 10 years, i could stand to lose a few. I was up to 205ish for a while back before I met Jan and started eating better. Cut out a lot of processed crap food. But there is no way I'm getting to the ideal BMI the doctors want. What are they looking for, walking skeletons?
  18. my ex's uncle was the local Husky dealer, not very successful at it, had one new in the crate that he never would sell to me.
  19. I had a similar issue with my Pegaso, but decided it was more trouble than it was worth, I would have to cut a hole, chip it out and weld it back.
  20. my poor brother in law pays 575 for his Land Rover LR4, thats like $750 US, and I whine about a couple hundred. We need Rovers to negotiate our crap roads.
  21. those big Yammy thumpers can draw blood. One kicked back and caught my shin, laid it open over the bone, took forever to heal that one and of course I whacked it a zillion times on various pieces of furniture.
  22. you need a nice protest rally! it's what we do here. Probably going again next week. Getting our pitchforks and torches ready.
  23. one can electrify a regular bike for a few hundred if one was looking for a shoreside runabout1
