This is seriously strange! The flouncing because of @Bruce jokey comment about you and him talking shit was bewildering. Firstly because it was obviously said in fun, and secondly because it was Bruce. And we know how generous Bruce was to Clive when he'd only known him on here for a short time. We live in very uncertain times really.....very hard to make any plans now due to Covid and the volatile political climate. We're just happy that we dodged the bullet and got out in 2005.

As technology has advanced it has become easier....but time has taken it's toll. Son 1 left for NL in 2013, Son 2 left for Poland in 2016. So everything in terms of the business and family commitments was then dumped onto me singlehandedly. At the same time the wife's osteoarthritis got worse very quickly. One hip is done, waiting for the other one, plus it's now spread to her back where it's too dangerous to operate. So I'm now working on my own, plus helping the wife with all the stuff she needs doing. Driving, fetching and carrying, lifting, shopping, horses, chores in the house etc. She can't travel far, there's no one here besides me to help her......so the likelihood of me ever getting anywhere is pretty remote really. It's just the way things turned out.

That's what it took to get where I needed to be Caroline! I've been established for years now so it's not so hectic......I'm trying to get a better work/life balance. However, due to the nature of what I do I can never truly close the door and get away from everything. Because the Internet never sleeps.

Don't know those areas.....only Granada, Almeria, and Murcia. Legacy of working non-stop here for 15 years.

That's a very comprehensive geographical synopsis there Dave!

We seem to have encountered a situation whereby some guys go out on their bikes, take some pics, and then have a few words to say about it. That is called a Ride Report! However, what is happening now is that guys just throw their words and pics into an old thread instead. When you do that, a lot of existing members may well not see it. Potential members definitely will not see it. And Google will not spider it in the correct way. So what is the difference between adding it into an existing thread or making a new thread? Giving it a title! That's it.....it only takes a few seconds! There's no minimum number of pics or words needed, in fact we've even had reports in cars, on boats, on bicycles......and walking! So if in doubt.....post it in there! You are helping the site more than you could imagine by doing that! 70 Ride Reports this year from 6 different countries......that really says something about this place. I could show you other sites who don't even have ONE Ride Report so far this year......let's not look like pitiful blowhards like that.

That's great Caroline! Most of us on here have met others over the last 20 years......though nobody has met everybody if you get my drift. And everybody is as they appear on here.....there's no false internet personas! So basically, what you see is what you get!
