Do you wish sometimes you had stayed with your first wife ?
Definitely not!....shagging my brother, and several other guys that I found out about after we split.......sloppy seconds!...its a wonder I did not end up with a raging STD... .
But there is one upside.....she never tried to stab me!. ย

And what happens when something else goes on the Dacia?
Bus Passย ย
The car is showing its age now, clutch is still slipping a bit, original exhaust still fitted (can't last much longer surely) air con packed up ages ago, needs welding on one sill, let's just admit it's ready for the scrappers.. we cant afford any big bills, so we ard sort of expecting to be car less within the next year. ย

It was nice to get out on the scoot to go and buy 4 new spark plugs from Euro Car parts, felt a bit over dressed, came the long (10 mile) way home.

Once all the components (inlet & exhaust & FI & belts) are removed it may be quite a easy process, but I only have a cheap socket set (good ones stolen when shed was broken into) which I can almost guarantee is not up to the job.
Anyway I bought 4 new plugs, fitted them and started the car, no undue sounds (so my wife says ) coming from the engine, going to take a ride in it tomorrow,ย stick close to home incase it goes Pop.....then daughter can tow me home ย
Thanks Rich. but I would not bother you.

I'd say it's head removal time Clive, a new head gasket will be pennies for a dacia and it'll not be difficult to get off
I have neither the facilities or the tools to undertake such work.....

My car is fitted with a Renault Clio engine, but my Dacia is a old model (2013)

That's a bit of an overreaction on a 67 plate car.ย Can't they get a decent specialist to look at it first or even sell it as a non runner in the auction, surely they would get more than scrap value.ย ย
The place they took it to (Niel Harrod Auto Electrician) is the one of the best in town, the manageress of the care home cannot not be arsed anymore, just wants it out of the way, it's taking up parking space, so she told my daughter that they are going to phone scrap yards that collect and get shut of it........

It seems to be a thing with Dacia,s
Where my daughter works they have a Duster (67 reg),a while ago it refused to start, took it to local auto electrician he had no joy with it..they fitted a new UCH module.... programmed a new key to the new ECU, still won't start, so they are going to scrap it!..... ย

Well hopefully you'll have a good few years left mateย
Yep as you get older the years pass by quicker & quicker.....I often sit and wonder where the last 40 odd years went....one day your 30, then suddenly your in your 60,s........if you have plans for the near future, do them as soon as possible, because if you dont it will suddenly become too late to, which I have found out!.. ย
That was today's sermon. ย

Just disconnect the battery when your not using the scoot.
I was going to say take it off and keep it in the house where it's warm but thought better of itยWhile the weather was cold (December, January and February) the battery was kept inside, put it on the scoot a while ago, but hardly used the scoot since, it would help if there was power into the shed.
