Just had a call from Baza Hospital......I've got an appointment 9AM next Thursday (2 November) for Preparatory.
Got to go and get my tests done in the Health Centre here as soon as possible.
What happens at this Preparatory appointment @Slowlycatchymonkey?
Wot Bob said.
Essentially it is to make sure nothing will prevent the surgery from happening on the day, that the op goes smoothly and nothing interferes with recovery.
So medical history, medications, a checklist of questions, and some health checks like ECG and bloods.
Pretty straight forward stuff and nothing I can imagine you’d fall foul of so long as you’re taking those BP meds

Yer while dossing this morning apart from chatting to you load of losers I’ve reserved and ordered food deliveries for ChrXXXmas (some letters may have been changed to protect Humbug sensitivities), made a loaf of bread and whipped up a new garlic cream sauce to enliven lunch.

Is that Mr Butt Plug?
Butt plug reminds me that yesterday I had the epiphany that it would be possible to stop using UK/EU plug adapters and simply chop off the three pins replace them with EU two pin plugs.
Amazon.es has a very different idea of what a ‘plug’ is, bet thats skewed mi algorithms

You do less work than @Six30!
I only have an on and off switch, stopped or flat out. I’ve never had that trucking along at a reasonable pace thing everyone else has. Consequently I work feckin hard then stop.
This morning its a stop

It's time travel so I have to watch it.
A time travel lover ay. It always adds and extra element doesn’t it.
Is that time travel as in sci-fi they do actually travel in time or the time travel where the prog cuts back and forth between timelines until all is revealed?

watched that , good
Loved the harsh violence that makes you wince, the cold dead relationships and how it the more implausible it became the better it got.
So much so I watched it twice, once with one son and then watched it again with everyone.
Don’t think it would have worked as well with anyone except Odenkirk.
If you like dumb ass action movies (I definitely do) then try Guns Akimbo. Completely different type of film from Nobody, ridiculous and comedic. Made me laugh.
Edit- if you do decide to watch it don’t read about it beforehand, the plot is paper thin and any description will pretty much render watching it pointless

Off all my kids the youngest is the one who will learn to do stuff and listen. I am sure she will help although there maybe a clash when she tries to tell me how.
She spent many hours working with me in the shed before she discovered horses. There is still a pink toolbox up there although it is pretty dusty now.
Here is a couple of pics from 2016 of her working on a school project ( Mrs Robot).
She is currently picking my brains about all things bike for when she turns 17 and gets her first one. Must be black, cool and have gears she says. Baring in mind she was only 16 on the 18th of this month its going to be a long 12 months.
Of course I will do it for her and moan, that is my job after all. She is saving her own money to help pay for the Livery of the new horse out of her wages from the job she got. She tells everyone she is the favourite child, which I have never said and do try not to treat them all differently but she is the baby of the family.
Cool robot, hope you still have it!

Oh fantastic news the youngest has decided to switch stables.
I really thought you were announcing a gender or sexuality change in a typically British fashion
I’d say - Well sounds like you’ve got a lot of work on your hands. If you like once you’ve written out your to do list I’ll check it over for you. Hand her the tools and if not old enough or knowledgable enough (unlikely if she’s a child) give direction/lend a hand.
IMO that’s an invaluable lesson that’ll save her a lot of aggravation and money in the future.
The huge amount of time my Dad spent with me telling or showing me how to do practical things has been worth more than I can put into words..
well thats not true it’s me, I could put it into words but the thousand word essay would attract derision..
I’m risking it just with this post
edit - I also make my children earn the money for the things they want by doing jobs that need doing but then I’m probably a mean mama

The seasons are changing.....because for the first time in 6 months we bought Pellets. We haven't used the Burner yet but it's likely to be pretty soon.
And the prices have dropped since last year......€5.80 compared to €7.80. Though they used to be €3.80 before the war in Ukraine, so we're still paying over the odds.
Did you check out if your aircon does heating too? The heat exchange they use is usually way cheaper than other forms of heating. Of course theres lots of variables but possibly worth a look.
The solar instillation was finally finished at my place yesterday. I’m really enjoying seeing the app displaying a big fat zero being drawn from the grid

Nothing beats Madeley......did you see him last week with Layla Moran?
Did you ever see Madeley try to interview Oliver Reed on This Morning?
So funny.
Reed who didn't suffer fools gladly at the best of times was as usual pissed and looked at Madeley wittering on with a silent contempt, eventually Madeley ran out of steam and in the brief silence boomed "You silly little orange man" got up and left.
