  1. Crikey. Frying pan, fire. Well I need you to keep the place going Pete. I’m exceptionally bored with this lockdown now and so far this place has been fun and the only place Ive visited that has folk from around the globe (rather unique given theres no youtube account attached). Plus if you shut it down I’ll never get to bug grasshopper about how to take a good photo and I’ll miss out on Pedros recipes! Its a dull month ride wise, always has been but chuck in a lockdown on top and everyones crazier than ever!
  2. Oh I could do with that now. You’re food pics are excellent. Lazily after my accidentally longer than expected ride (after the gym dont you know?) I’m only fit for chucking scampi n chips in the oven! My husbands busy sharing some pretty fine whisky so I may go quiet very soon ?
  3. I wont pretend i wasnt ready to go surgical on him ?
  4. What happened to these four or five other forums? Are they still going strong or do they have a natural lifespan? Just curious. The joining and not posting thing is very common though. Lurking and all that malarkey. On another motorbike forum I noticed the stats quoted on the side said- most people online 31st Jan 1,500 which is astonishing when approx 20 max people actually posted.
  5. Good good. You possibly could move the ‘other people’ alert level down to defcon 3 then? Mind you a week or so ago some arsehole who’s card wouldn’t work in his petrol pump decided that it would be fine to squeeze himself between me n my bike and petrol pump to “see if my card works in here” and as he was a mere 30cm from my face unmasked saying this I did find myself turning into a loud hailer “MOVE BACK TO 2 METRES NOW” everyone in the petrol station stepped back even if they were at another pump ? Funny how easy it is to go from completely chilled out to defcon 1 in a second!
  6. Sounds great. Everything here just end up damp and wet!
  7. Doh! Can’t wait to see all the lockdown fair weather motorcyclists wobbling about. Will be like the cows let out to pasture in the spring ??
  8. Yeah if you saw the battering the Himmy’s we rode on one trip got you’d be amazed they kept going, we all were! I think one of their saving graces (which also makes them weighty) is that a lot of the parts are steel, no snappy aluminium so a lot of it simply bends back.
  9. You don’t expect cheap n cheerful to be good do you but the Himalayan is a surprise in all sorts of marvellous ways!
  10. I dont believe the powers that be would for a moment do anything other than the best it could for its people based on the best possible motivations. Oh christ alive, my nose seems to suddenly be two foot long ????
  11. Yep me too. For a week or so when it suited me then I’d just wanna ride my bike in the sun. Forecast down here looks tolerable for a couple of days, I may have some essential tasks saved up and needing to be done ?
  12. Maybe cos the vaccine killed them first ?
  13. Spain are not alone in saying that cos its efficacy/side effects hadn’t been tested on the older population which is fair enough. Theres not been a single hospital admission here (somerset) in the over 70’s group for three weeks now, ethics aside its hopeful that the live testing on the population is working out.
  14. They probably did. Mind you paying for a pint of leaches and other quackery you’d rather take your chances! Sophisticated winos, didn’t know they existed, then again round here a wino is sophisticated, they prefer 2l of strongbow ?
  15. Interesting how many more men than women died (or at least were in the pit).
  16. Its so weird how you can live somewhere and pass something frequently without seeing it and then one day for no particular reason it catches your eye. What’s a stumpery?
  17. Bet that cost a fortune at the time.
  18. 24 cases of blood clots in total and 10’s of millions of doses given. Much more doses given than other vaccines cos its so much cheaper. If no-one has blood clots, heart attacks or dies etc it would be very abnormal in a sample that large because you’d except the faulty humans we are to carry on developing its normal faults, if you catch my drift. So at the moment (until new data shows otherwise) I’m happy to have whatever.
  19. From what I’ve gleaned so far he’s a smelly murderer who pours concrete into peoples basements. Just wondering if anyone checks for bodies being he starts pouring?
