Just checking I see in the vid I need to order 4 of these spark plugs then? -
I knew my youngest son was gonna be musical when he was about 3 years old. I started singing something and his face screwed up in a pained expression

It’s freaking me out how nice and helpful you all are. I’m not used to it, I’m more accustomed to screw ups being unpleasant Thanks very much for the info and vid. Id rather he got the parts too but I can see why he doesn’t. He’s a mobile mechanic with limited space on his van and would have to spend his own time n money sourcing parts. At least this way I know the parts are good. Still pissed of with the other garage though. Particularly when he took the tank off and the breather tube thingys weren’t attached. -

Pretty sure before I had it it was well loved and looked after, still have occasional contact with the guy I bought it from, he’s been friendly and helpful but I now don’t know what the garage I took it to did or didn’t do The new mechanic doesn’t order parts though. He’s been stung too many times by unreliable customers so I’ve got to get the parts. -

Yers agreed but do I just change the spark plugs and hope that fixes it or do I cough up for another full service? And where to I order them from? -
My grandfather came back from ww2 as screwed up as you’d expect and turned to the bottle, took a job with the BBC (he’s the reason programmes like grandstand and others sports coverage happened) and spent the remainder of his life never coming home travelling the world on the beebs expense account getting pissed. Which sounds fine and dandy until you know he left two boys with my schizophrenic grandmother who could hear angels talking to her and telling her to beat her children better. A bad mother is a fucking travesty. But of course that’s all he’d experienced so he married my mum who was I think it’s fair to say a shit mother with a narcissist personality disorder. Heyho it was never dull Someone sent me a link to a website last week with a page asking for more stories about my grandad (he was a character) and it was weird as hell reading entertaining stories about a man that I’d always thought of as a selfish old bastard!

The gear indicator and the usb were wired into the heated grips but that’s been remedied now. The air filter hadn’t been changed so I’m dubious if the oil filters been done because he didn’t have the other parts ordered when I took it in and he only had it for a day. All in all I’m not impressed with the previous work and now I’m left wondering if I should just cut my loses and pay the new mechanic to do a full service cos it’s still missing some of its edge. The new mechanic said changing the spark plugs might be worth a go cos if they haven’t bothered to change the air filter then the next thing you’d naturally skip would be one of the spark plugs that’s a swine to get to. The bit that looks like a spare switch on the wiring diagram is I’m told something to do with testing the abs and best to leave it alone. So I’ve never ordered spark plugs before. I’m guessing it’s straight forward but thought I’d ask here before unwittingly wasting money! -
I’d always assumed cos of the way you talk that you were a boomer. Got that wrong didn’t I.

As opposed to the bigger boys like yourself?

Fixed that for you.

My husbands blatant disregard of the rules was the thing that made me pick him. He was and still is irrepressible. Not giving a fuck what other people think is from my point of view one of the most attractive traits a person can have.

Ive been controlled and manipulated by other people for long stretches of time in the past and then had to suffer the savage emotions that occur when when the scales fall from your eyes and you walk away so I can confirm beyond any doubt your path is the better option, you are better off being a loose cannon from the start

I dunno I quite like a bit of chastisement so long as it ends well.

Oh yes you would

Who really cares, she’s already out of the league of the knuckledraggers on here

You’re a bright capable dude so either they’re morons (and who wants to work for a moron anyway?) or they’ve not yet understood what they’re looking at.
-
Hahahaa

What’s that to do with it

Just offer a wage that decent people can get by on, then you can choose from a number of applicants and not to employ the chaff. Otherwise as now youre left with just dedicated people that see it as a vocation and the shite that can’t get employed elsewhere (admin usually).
