So the two main types of trail in England and Wales are shown on OS maps, that doesn't mean definitvely that they are legal but it's a good guide.  They are know as 'Byways open to all traffic ' or BOAT or simply BYWAY  and the others are ORPA's or other route with public access, these are more commonly known as UCR's (Unclassified County Roads).

Byways are shown on OS maps as a series of red crosses and ORPAs as a series of red dots, you can see some on this OS map of part of the Peaks.

But that best way to find out where you can ride as @Buckster and @Sir Fallsalot have said is to join the TRF (Trail Riders Fellowship) .  That way you will get access to the Green Road Map which will give you lots of other information .

Do you get a gold ring if you join up?

Because they have dug out the top soil (and sold it 😂) leaving you with shitty clay soil mix, it happens on many new developments too....crap drainage.

Yeah there's fuck all drainage, it's a reenactment of passchendaele every time it rains.

a lot of lawns around us are covered in moss

With the rains our lawn is like a swamp, it's totally unusable for anything but 3 or 4 weeks of the year

Mowed mine the other week, it has been so wet here for so long that half of the lawn is now moss, very spongy to walk on..

I reckon it's Pete's wife. It's all part of his plan.

Pete: Look love, I asked on the forum who's the person stood behind me and encouraged me to press on with the forum, and they all said it's you!

Pete's missus: oh, that's lovely. Why don't you go and buy yourself a new motorbike?

Pete: oh, well, if you insist, love.

This is all part of his game plan! He's so transparent you could read a newspaper through him! 😂😂😂😂

Must say you do have a point, I'd bet he's been buttering her up for ages over this final bike replacement, either that or he's upped some insurance premium

The fashion at the time.....like Adv Bikes are now.

But at least Adv Bikes are practical......unlike sportsbikes.

So a sports bike isn't practical at all?

I've had enough on my 1st ninja for a week away easy enough with my panniers and tank bag.

@busabeast did they say what the fixes were?

No and the adblue issue has come back this morning on way to work so the weekend I'll be back to tell them to keep it and I'll let the finance company know I've given it back because it wasn't as stated in the ad
