Its one reason im taking it at 60...don't understand the logic to waiting till 65...so if I die at 64 all that money the government keeps...

At the moment the age of drawing is up to 67. It is a central pot paid for out of national insurance contributions but the government has mismanaged it a lot over the years. It used to be available at 60.

Oh and it's official...I'll be receiving my first cpp check this month since ive turned 60...curious to see what Ill get , I don't expect much ..maybe 700 a month maybe...lot's wait till 65 at the same time has the old age benefit check....its there why not at 60 is what I figure..who knows...could be dead before I reach 65...
