Bike Of The Month - July - Picture Submission Thread
Buckster replied to Pedro's topic in GENERAL CHAT
I'm in the twilight zone. -
Well just off the phone with the Doc about my CT scan the other about my lungs..and after 40 some years of smoking...
-
Yes ive got a hillbilly neighbor...you should see the mess...lol.
-
Nice view of the rest of the trailer park.
- Today
-
We are childminding all week... ...and we are stuck in the bungalow with car being off the road.....poor kid is bored...... me too.
-
In comparison to settle @Buckster case for one last time...working on this 950 compared to his tractor... It's like working on a Ferrari to a Volkswagen beetle...
-
Your so stupid..Rich...lol. Im using the thing has a touring motorcycle...if I was converting it to a dragster with my mechanical know how...you'd better put your money down that I would blast your pants right off...
-
Well fuck that...the sun is already blasting this morning and its to hot already... Suppose I'll amuse you some more. Most of you..other Than @boboneleg maybe ... have no slightest idea how intensive it is just to access the carbs on this thing to try out new jets.... @Buckster would be crying to his mommy having to do this...I kid you not...
-
So what you're saying is your bike wouldn't win? Is it settled and agreed now?
-
Rich were taking about a bike that's completely stock and not designed to take and abuse like that....it would have to be converted to a chain drive first of all...popping the clutch on a real sticky drag strip with a proper drag tire...the bike will spit out that belt....100 % positive.
-
So do you not trust the bike enough to ride it 120 miles without an issue?
-
Beleive it or not...here their isn't anything for bike recovery...the twat will most likely drag it up on a flat bed and winch it down with steel cables...
-
Anyway this would be summer of 05...removed those cat converters...all that anti pollution crap....it pretty well took me the entire summer to figure out everything...to make it run properly again...back in those days ..it wasn't like you could find a video on YouTube... After Countless hours spent on orange crush mostly...diging through forums ...I finally figured it out....jetting and stuff canister removal..all that crap...
-
Yes I ride it there and back, if something breaks then I get it recovered by my recovery, but I trust it enough to know it probably won't break
-
Seriously do you ride it there ? What if something breaks?
-
They are labour intensive bikes to service but once you know your way around them they are fine to work on .
-
After having it properly broken in..lol....50 km from the showroom floor on the return ride home...some twat on a sport bike pulled up next to me with a 600 cc something bike...I had to show him what the bike was capable of doing...I pined the throttle and brought up the speed to 215 kph...lol....
-
And santa pod from mine its 74 miles.... so what does that tell us? 1. He can't ride 120 miles in a day because he's scared the bike will breakdown. 2. He can't go to the drag strip incase his belt snaps because he is a gammon with the clutch. 3. He is too scared of being shown up. So what have we learnt here well...one thing that Marcel can talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

Suppose I'll start from page one. It's and 04 adventure S , at the time of purchase , it was a 2 year production bike made I think..maybe they were sold overseas in your side of the pond has and 03 ...not sure...but at the time , here in Canada, there was only 1 authorized dealer..in Montreal...1000 km away.
