Rear tire fitted... got to balance it now...and slap everything back together...should be running by noon..got the pulley bearing on order..SKF..the good stuff...
-
It must have been a Harley bird, if it had been Indian it’s head would have snapped off when it hit the window.
-
Think it did...it hoble to a section of taller grass...was gone I got back from the bearing shop...no sign of feathers on the ground...
-
Looks like it will recover.

Maybe they will shave off on the tarmac.

Looking at the bike this morning without the sadle bags..lol ...if that fender was smooth without the bag mounts...I think it would look awesome @Buckster...with those semi-truck size muflers on the side...what do you think ? A little to hillbillyish ?
-
A bird just smacked itself in one of my windows poor thing...flipped it back on its legs...not sure if it's gonna be able to fly off...just keeping and eye on it..my crows are trying to get at it...keeping them away at the moment..

Lol...would you stop , for the belt to come off , the pulley bearing would have to completely disintegrate, wasn't any movement between the inner spacer before I repack it with grease..And beleive me I would be hearing something abnormal if it starts to fail along the road...but I will be going to the bearing shop this morning and have one ordered and ill be buying a puller if I have to...takes five minutes to check, imagine Ill be doing a few thousand km before leaving on the road trip and I'll have a look at it before leaving....im not worried...
-
That should lock the back wheel nicely when the belt splits and jams itself between the swing arm and the pulley. I'm sure that won't happen if course.

At cruising speed there isn't much force on the pulley....it's not like a wheel bearing holding up 1300 pounds...and when I go around corners at 2.76 G you're talking about the weight of and entire bush elephant bearing down on the bearing...
-
It's basically and idler pulley.. it only transfers rotation to the wheel...it doesn't carry any load...ill keep and eye on it...
-
I wouldn't worry about it either, because I'm not riding it.
-
I’m guessing that tightens against the wheel and pulley bearing with the wheel fitted. That wouldn’t’t worry me if so as the bearing’s doing all the hard work.
-
I just checked and there is a reason yours moves side to side.
-
I have a Harley pulley bearing here and the spacer is on its own race and does not move side to side.

Daughters vibrator. A mother was walking down the hall when she heard a humming sound coming from her daughter's bedroom. When she opened the door she found her daughter naked on the bed with a vibrator. What are you doing?" she exclaimed. The daughter replied, "I'm 35 and still living at home with my parents and this is the closest I'll ever get to a husband." Later that week the father was in the kitchen and heard a humming sound coming from the basement. When he went downstairs, he found his daughter naked on the sofa with her vibrator. "What are you doing?" he exclaimed. The daughter replied, "I'm 35 and still living at home with my parents and this is the closest I'll ever get to a husband." A couple of days later the mother heard the humming sound again, this time in the living room. In there, she found her husband watching the Super Bowl on television with the vibrator buzzing away beside him. "What are you doing?" she exclaimed. He replied............"Watching the game with my son-in-law."

Yes ..the backside spacer is just free floating.. I know what your doing dickweed...lol That bearing isn't carrying the weight of the motorcycle like a wheel bearing does... Pic of the front side pulley spacer...
-
But is it supposed to move side to side?
