Check the charging voltage, if the voltage reg on the alternator exceeds the max charge voltage for the Li battery it will kill it. I can’t recall the max for a Li battery but google will have it.

Things aren't well in Canada at the moment, Alberta is having a referendum to leave Canada, country is extremely divided, its pretty well the Liberals against the Conservative...
-
Beleive me id rather be riding my bikes....I need to move to a warmer climate...maybe it will be easier to move after we become the 57 state...lol.
-
Sounds like Dan is the one who should pull out if you were worried about your guts.
-
It’s not about price I am struggling to find a Yuasa one to fit. I have head that Motobatt can be iffy on quality as well. I can’t be arsed with Lithium. I just want a decent battery, happy to just a a standard lead acid type if I can find something. Just bought a Yuasa replacement for the Hornet as the standard one has shat the bed after 2 years. I don’t think I ride that bike enough.
-
Well there's nothing else to do..lol...speaking of wich , possible ride tomorrow, Dan wants to go down shore...its a solid 200km plus day..-14 c on the forecast, we had a good layer of snow but we lost it all just before Christmas, 5 cm fell during the night , there's a long section of trail with monster roots and rocks , don't know if I want guts to be put through a blender tomorrow, I might pull out...un- decided still...still not enough snow for the grooming machine yet..they were running snowcats for many years, now it's tractor with tracks like this..
-
Dude! You spend the winter with your buddies in the woods bumming each other, no wonder you are self conscious.
-
Possible , haven't really checked on it , I only know some.. not all were having issues after switching to lithium 23 and older...I might look at another lithium after this one craps out...but my confidence has been tarnish, I was only lucky I was close to home and I managed to limp it back ...I just think for myself anyway a gel battery suit me more...what if the battery craps out on a ride..you can't charge it with a regular charger to get the bike going or giving it a boost with cables...
-
Wear it wherever you like, no one is worried about that.

My Christmas season has been spent looking after Mrs. Hook w/ her new knee...gotta admit that I'm proud of her for doing well w/ her recovery. Seeing consistent increments of improvement everyday. Kind of anxious to see how well she'll be doing by our anniversary in Feb. Hopefully be mobile enough to do a day trip to Hermiston to see my Great G-son by then...
-
Of course I won’t wear it outside of the house, dum nuts . I will wear it up the shed though, it’s warm and it shows Shadow that I appreciate what’s she does for me.
-
If I recall they have only started saying they are lithium friendly from 2025 year.
-
They do mate but that is part of the fun.
-
Don't know why ...but something on the bike didn't like the lithium battery, switched over to a gel battery, the bike ran perfectly for the rest of the 24 season, the recall was only done this year...it was causing the bike to over charge...
-
Then what was the point of using a tender? Oh yeah, the bike is shit, I forgot.
-
Idiot and idiot...the bike was never sitting more than a week...it was early summer when I changed to lithium..
-
Also if you were not riding for more than a month then you should remove the battery connector and leave it in a semi discharged state. Lithium does not like being held at 100% for months at a time. That information is readily available.
