I just think there's too much tech on bikes now, there's a problem with the touch screen on some of the newer Africa twins. The touch screen don't work and they cant get past the first screen (See Photo) when switching on the bike. Why the fuck you want a touch screen display on a motorcycle i haven't a clue, doesn't anyone enjoy riding a motorcycle on the open road anymore without all the crap distracting you

The weekend after we were talking about following routes i was tail man with a group of newbies and they got lost after the first roundabout which was a few hundred yards after the start point i had to pass them all and get them back on track. i don't know what everyone was looking at but the lead man went left and everyone else went straight on. I know what you mean about too slow as well the group i was out with were so slow i found it physically exhausting following them with all the stopping and starting and where a little speed helps you over some terrain going slow was wearing me out

How did the route you planned go was it all fluid or did you have to go rounding people up now and again. Any photos of bikes that went

I've been to Assen twice when i was in my 20's to watch the racing but missed it all both times because i was unconscious in a bar somewhere

I started to keep a record for more of what i'm spending on the bikes and to see how long various makes of tyres and brake pads were lasting as i go through a lot of them and added the regular service stuff to it , but soon found out i was forgetting to fill it in or just couldn't be arsed

I just forget stuff.

No i was out on my own all day just got monkey butt LOL was out 9 hours and i'm fooked now

Just finished changing the front tyre on the XR. i must be rusty or old as it took me a while to do and then the tube popped because it wasn't installed correctly, so it was take the tube out again and fit a new one. The tyre i had has been in the shed so long its hard as hell

you do if you want to ride the bike tomorrow when you take the chance things can turn out ok. I've been out on days that had terrible forecasts but had a great day because it was only the odd shower or i managed to stay in front of the weather, sometimes you just got to say fuck it and go

I was looking at the info for the dog and it's over £2500 in parts and service items since i bought it and i haven't filled the cost of everything. I only paid £800 for the bike

Anyone else keep a record of their service info, I created an excel spread sheet to record what I've been doing to each bike but don't always fill it in and stopped putting the cost of stuff in as it was getting scary This is the one for the XR
