Another one one i remember was at the top end of the Elan Valley. I Stopped to look at the view above a couple of sharp bends in the road as it was a nice day and saw a large group of bikes coming towards me in the distance, so decided to hang about to see what was going on, as i was watching them start to ride up towards me two of them just fell off on the bend below they were travelling just over walking space and just keeled over like someone had switched them off. Chatting to one of the group that manged to get to me he said they were on a led ride out from a bike rally and half of them had never ridden a country road before and didn't know how to ride around a tight uphill bend, these were guys who were 50+

Street view of where i stopped to admire the view with said bend look how difficult it is not :classic_laugh:

    What a view.

What i find unfair is i have a 3L petrol car and have driven about 3000 miles in the last two years in it, yet i have to pay about £290 a year but someone paying £30 a year can drive 20-30000 miles a year and are considered to be polluting less than me that's why it should be on the fuel and not separate.

For some reason the Gov told everyone to buy diesels with some nice incentives. They now realise they're cancer and respiratory prob causing polluting dirt machines.
I agree, should but the road tax on fuel.

my poor brother in law pays 575 for his Land Rover LR4, thats like $750 US,  and I whine about a couple hundred. We need Rovers to negotiate our crap roads.

Lets be honest, it's a polluting lump of ,,,,,

I met Catee a loooong time ago when he gave me some transalp bits, & Bob stopped by at work for a coffee on his way back from Italy a few years back. How much you are prepared to trust them as references is up to you ?

Thats going back a few years.
I can confirm you're not a cunt too and Bob makes a cracking cuppa.
I've met quite a few off the old forums over the years, been good fun.

  5. I used TKCs on the xl600, couldn't't believe had good they were on the tarmac. Just ok off. The front would wear off very uneven but still gripped good.
I can't remember what I had on the 500 but they were shit in the mud.

I love my bike, but it's main defect is on hot wether riding. I am slowly fixing it, I've put a small fairing on that alows air to the helmet, it's obviously worse on motorways but at significantly over 30ºC I was having trouble with no circulation to evaporate sweat inside the helmet, now I get a helmet full of bugs, which suits me better. It also means the view on top of the bike is better, which I really like.

Got 2 vents on my Nolan, helped quite well in hot weather. Better helmet?

  7. It's not the sweat that upsets my riding more so the wet. Can't seem to buy anything waterproof. Heat from the cats don't seem to make any difference on either of my bikes.
The TDM has a cat in each side exhaust so they're off and on all the time as the original is far to quiet.
The Tracer has the cat in a "box" under the engine which I have cut open and removed a section to make it louder. I'm very happy with the results and the cat remains. If the TDM had the cat in the downpipes then I'd have left them there.
They do restrict the engine a little but both bike are quick enough for me.

Most riders over here seem to get them off as soon as possible as there's no emission test, yet.
