Not far off, just gotta wait for her 17th Birthday in October.

I’m thinking of moving to Davidstow airfield. Spent 6 hours up there in the last two days. Firstly spent 3 hours up there on Wednesday teaching my oldest daughter to drive, who I am going to call Sunshine in comparison to my Shadow. Sunshine is such a joy to be around, but she is going to take awhile to pick up all aspects of car control. Now Shadow, ever competitive, was not happy I spent three hours with Sunshine. So yesterday’s riding lesson had to last the same time. To be fair to Shadow I hardly saw her, she came back every half an hour or so to touch base but soon headed off again. She is doing well up and down the gears confidently with good clutch control. I’m going to get some cones and do some CBT style manoeuvres to get ready for her test at the end of August. I took a tarp and laid it down so I ended up chilling and listening to podcasts for hours. The question of lowering the CB125F has gone away as Shadow is happy with her lowered seat. She says she feels much more confident and feels she is not sitting on top of the bike anymore but part of it instead. If she is happy that is good enough for me. After her three and a half hours and 35 miles, of course she had to do more than Sunshine, Shadow needed feeding, apparently feeling faint So a 45 minute ride down to Fraddon for a Maccies. I have come to the conclusion that 80 + miles two up on a CB125F is not fun, our combined weight is close to 23 stone, a lot for 10hp to drag around. The bike does it without fuss but it is a suboptimal set up. At one point Shadow was annoyed that another 125 passed us and wanted to know why. I explained because of my heavy ass,

Here's the add, more than a year old but I am sure this is the one he was on about https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-details/202407151800748?sort=relevance&advertising-location=at_bikes&make=Triumph&model=Speed Triple 1200&postcode=PL23 1EQ&price-from=9500&price-to=10000&fromsra

No I have seen the add in Autotrader 9.5K for a Speed 1200, with extras the original price was close to £18K. Couldn't quote chapter and verse but I will look for the add.

I have the detergent bottle that came with my Karcher pressure washer but it's pretty shit, I always find it a faff getting the washer out with extension leads hoses and the like, thought the pump up bottle was worth a try. Works pretty well IMHO, dunno how long it will last. May get a proper snow foam bottle and lance in the future but going to play it by ear for the minute.

Good looking bike, enjoy it. Reckon you will get the first service in before Christmas. Still trying to understand why you bought the 1200 as well? One of my work mates is looking at trading his Tiger 900 for one, just over a year old and 8k less than the new price. Someone took a helluva spanking on that one.

Waited for the heat to pass over then out polishing my Honda Turd again. Roughly 1000 miles since the last time. Coming up cleaner each time. I got one of those Snow Foam bottles I have seen advertised, only £7 on Amazon. Works surprisingly well for what it is. Saves pulling the pressure washer out just to do a bike. Don’t think it would be that practical for doing a car but I will give it a try. After I dried it experimented using GT85 to coat it rather than ACF50.

Great ride home from work this morning, across Bodmin moor with the sun burning off the mist, beautiful. Only 32 miles but a great way to start the day, breakfast and bed.

I'm working Friday, Saturday, Sunday overnight. Dunno what else yet.
