Found a new Bike Shop less than 15 minutes from my place. I sort of knew about the guy but for some reason I didn’t think he was up to much, probably cause someone slagged him to me. Anyway went up there to get Shadow’s new back tyre fitted, nice to be proved wrong top guy, friendly, helpful and with reasonable prices. Also finally got around to sorting the boys ped. It needed new front pads but being made of Chineseium one of the pad pins stripped and the old ones wouldn’t come out. When this happened I had a sense of humour failure and just got another calliper from eBay. All bled and fitted so he has new brake fluid as well now. I know if he ever buys one of these things again I will strip the callipers and anti seize them before use. To be fair the ped has been flawlessly reliable in the 2.5 years he has had it. Probably crumble to dust for it’s first MoT in August

Been up Davidstow again today teaching my new acolyte to ride her bike ready for her CBT. Tis a Honda CBR125R nice bike and a lot of fun for what it is. Shadow is very envious of it.

I like the look of it but if I had a spare 5k I wouldn’t spend it on that. Or any new bike tbh. I fancy an old air cooled Honda or Kwack 4. Z650B or CB750F type of thing.

Been out teaching my eldest daughter to drive then took the Hornet up to Damerells for a run. Fecking cold on the way home when the sun went in. I do like the colour of the Guerilla Playa Black, reminds me of a DT175 from back in the day. Nice Nine T.

My experience is pretty much the same as yours. The motor is an animal for sure, I have come to the conclusion it's the power delivery that makes it feel quick, pulls really hard at lowish revs where you do most everyday riding. I absolutely love it. A fantastic bike that I see no need to change. I have only done 3500 miles in the 16 months I have owned it as I have been doing most of my mileage on the CBF600. While the CBF is a comfy old slipper with good wind protection getting off it and onto the Hornet makes it feel a beast all over again. Not sure how you will get on with that screen, I had the same one on my CB500F and I didn't notice much of an improvement, but you are probably a different shape to me so it may work differently for you. I always thought it made my CB500 look like an alert Cockatiel Oh and if you are looking for a rack the SW Motech one is excellent, beautifully made and a perfect fit and not very obtrusive to the look of the bike.

Still quiet and dry here. In fact I am going out to service Shadows CB125F in a minute. Not forcast to stay that way over the weekend though.

Fecking tornado in Newquay today wreaked a holiday park. I was over there yesterday on my bike.

I often wonder if you have a happy day Clive.

She does seem to be intent on travelling the war torn and poverty stricken parts of the globe.

Anyone watching Itchy Boots season 8. The daft bint is going to get herself in trouble, I get a bad feeling about this trip. I am amazed she got into and out of Iran carrying drones and loads of camera gear.

Race rep paint schemes were all the rage in the early 2000's, I never liked them but it was a thing. I can't think of anything more naff than a silly fat old fucker in matching leathers on a race rep sport bike. I love a blade but know I would look even more of a cunt on one.

With that mileage I would guess 1.5 to 2.5k trade, retail I would guess 3k plus. Be interested to know what it goes for.

Me to at the moment,

I reckon it’s the bargain of the year 150 bhp Japanese quality for 9k. Fuck me there are CF Motos and Voges going for more than that. I agree on the pipe.

Had a bimble over to Newquay today to check out a new bike workshop. Robins Motorcycles. Nice guys in a modern unit. I hope it goes well for them. Waiting for a quote for my boy to get his ped serviced. Also popped into Damerells on the way back to look at the new Hondas. GB350S. Perfectly nice bike for the money, not sure it’s my thing but I like the styling of it. If I were in The market for a smaller bike this is more in my thing. Playa Black Had a good look at the new Hornet 1000. Lovely bike, but would have to be a Red one for me. Bear 650 Hit 35000 on the CBF on the way home.

Her 125 is to slow and I don't want her to feel pressure to take risks to try and keep up. Her 125's sweet spot is 40 to 60 mph which would be ok but it loses out big time in acceleration. I am happy to make allowances but I can't expect the group to compromise their day out to accommodate my gate crashing daughter. I am confident they would but it would get old.

I want to take her out on a few rides just the two of us before going out in a larger group. I don't want her to have pier pressure to go faster than she is comfortable with.

I went for a Bimble down to Blackwater then on to Perranporth with 4 of my mates this morning. Shadow wanted to come and had a bit of a strop as I told her she couldn't take her bike, she did mellow and came pillion with me in the but she wasn't happy. She did improve after a couple of hot chocolates

Yeah tis very like a CB500F to ride but just a very angry one, nothing not to like The Honda Grips here are £300. I reckon my Ultimate Add Ons grips feel just like the standard ones, no thicker. Damerells, the Honda Dealership where I bought my Hornet, recommended them and I can't fault them. The Oxford Grips I have on my CBF600 are a bit thicker and much quicker to warm up. They work very well but are just ugly.
