  1. Took her out again today but it is pretty hard to find anywhere for her to ride.    Our normal place is open today so we were a bit limited.
Her phone mount came today with vibration damper so had to be fitted straight away.

Went to Docs at 9am about a stomach bug.

They did some tests and by 11am I was on an Air Ambulance to Granada.

I went straight into Surgery where they put 3 stents into my heart arteries.

Now in ICU for the next day or two.

Bloody hell Pete youm falling to bits.  I had 4 stents 2 years go, took  couple of months to settle down again but felt pretty good ever since.  Glad they caught it in good time before you had a heart attack. .  Do what you are told and get well soon mate.  👍

I am not very computer oriented, can't cope with an iPad. I bought one with the keyboard a while ago, specifically so it could travel on flexible bags better than the laptop, but it just made everything really hard to do. Simple things like having a spreadsheet open and working on that while writing an email at the same time while looking at both, and maybe copying a few cells onto the email. Stuff like that became so complicated I just gave up and gave it to my brother. Now, on top of all that I also update a few files from a server that only works with Microsoft so have a modulator to do that.

The new 13 being overall smaller sounds good to me, good times ahead!

Funnily enough I have a M1 Ipad pro 12.9" and while it will do lots of things well once you got used to the clunky Ipad OS I only really use it for watching stuff now, everything is so much easier on a MacBook in comparison.  The one Apple product I wouldn't buy again.  It's a great bit of kit but I just don't use it's potential.  Not sure if it is a clunky operating systems or an old and clunky operator 🤣

Front wheel stepped out on me, going wide around the traffic exiting a roundabout, got onto the gravel in the centre, front wheel went and sent me into the path of the oncoming cars, it was a fun moment that nearly kills you but makes you smile

I had my back wheel step out on some gravel on Sunday just gone.  No where near as bad as yours but still a full clench moment, didn’t help that I had my youngest pillion.   I did laugh afterwards once I had calmed down a little.   What struck me was my 16 year old daughter shouting ‘what the fuck was that dad’. Haven’t heard her use that language before.  🤣

Get a new one, I have an Air with the M2 processor and it is excellent.

I never thought I would say this but Buckster is spot on, an Apple Silicone MacBook Air is what you need.  I have the M1 which is coming on for 4 years old and it still blows me away by how good it is.    I promise you it will be a revelation. Compared to your old MacBook which must be an intel machine given the timeframe.
But still fix your old one as well, still a viable machine.  Replacement batteries are never as good but if you could source a Duracell or one from Ifixit it would be a good bet.     Bear in mind that your older Mac will be stretched by newer software and that will also affect battery life and longevity.

    Well done Saul!

Anybody else need riding lessons here?

I may have more patience with my precious daughters than pretty much anyone else on the planet.  Not sure I would make a good teacher in general.   Although I have taught several people to sing since 'I have started my singing group, but that's not hard really all about confidence and training your ear.

  7. Got to take my Shadow out for another riding lesson this morning.   Due to a combination of her being ill, both of us working and rubbish weather we haven’t been out for a lesson for 3 weeks.   When the rain blew through today we took that opportunity to go out.
Went to the local Market World that only opens Sat Sun and Wed so closed today with an empty car park.
Really pleased with her progress today.  For starters she remembered everything from earlier lessons and pulled away, stopped, changed direction figure of 8’s and the like.  Brilliant and built her confidence.  So much so I got her changing gear today which was great to see.  Feels like she is making real progress.   Halfway through the lesson we stopped for a snack and talked about what happened, couple of stalls and stuff, but generally all good.  Anyway after the break got her out there again and she is using the first 3 gears now with some degree of comfort.  Doing well so brought the lesson to an end on a high.  Rode her home and got her a treat in the garage on the way.   🙂👍 Enjoyable day with my youngest.   Rubbish photos I know but concentrating on the job in hand.

No you don't you lost your language which was the common Brittonic language, spoken throughout Great Britain but you just bent over and let it get fucked out of you :classic_laugh: Brittonic evolved into Welsh, Cornish, Breton, Cumbric, and probably Pictish. I'm not a welsh speaker but even i know because the welsh language was forced out of us by the English it makes it far more important to keep the language alive now, even if its just to stick two fingers up to them because they didn't succeed at their evil plan. We could have bent over and let them take it from us but we didn't and it's still a language that's alive throughout Wales not having that heritage is why you won't understand how important it is

As is Cornish here, we nearly lost it but it is coming back.  Every college course to learn Cornish is always fully booked.  I can sing a couple of songs in Cornish but can't speak it, I understand some but not enough to get by.

I wonder if slow is a Gary thing. my mate Gary is a little slooooow on the road, to give you an example when i had the 2 gallon tank on the dog i would hit reserve around 70miles normal riding for me when i was out with Gary i was getting 110 miles to reserve. when i was riding with him regular i went down 1 tooth on the front sprocket so i could get into top gear and stay there without the bike chugging lol

I must admit my average MPG does go up when I'm out with this bunch.  Good company but it is definitely driving Miss Daisy spec when Gary is with us, better when he is not.  🤣

Today is my 65th birthday so I’m drinking beer and eating curry. It’s my birthday so I’ll do what the fuck I want. The fine Spanish cuisine can do one for the day.

I’ll worry about the inevitable hangover when it gets here…….probably about 6pm at this rate. 🤣

    Over and out. 😜🍺🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

Happy Birthday, make sure the hangover is a good one 😎👍

You have to look up LOL
To the eye you could see the colour in the sky, not as detailed or saturated as a long exposure (2.5 seconds) but still very noticeable

I know, problem was neither I or the Nurse I was working with knew it was going on, so had no reason to look up 🤣

I think your logic fails in that you are assuming there is a rational process leading up to drunken fighting.

I don't know there is any logic involved in anything that goes on there.  I would have thought if you couldn't focus the last thing you should do is risk getting thumped especially if you have no skill to defend yourself.  Not saying they were thinking that way they obviously weren't.  Like I said initially soft twats who couldn't throw or land a punch and luckily for both of them their opponents was equally clueless.  I have seen what happens when a drunk takes on someone who wasn't and could defend themselves.  It doesn't last long.

  15. I find it difficult to understand how these places are just abandoned like that.  On this crowded little island they would be developed into something to rape money out of the populace quick smart.
