Same engine as F650......Rotax! But now assembled by Loncin in China, not Kymco in Taiwan as the later F series were. But it is not a Chinese engine, and contains only Austrian components. The Chinese workforce assemble it.....nothing more. So ignore @Buckster's trolling.

Fine with the riding side of this bike......after a couple of minutes it felt like I'd be riding it all my life. To me it was like being on a very sophisticated and comfortable XT600. But reliability? Only time will tell!

It takes me a while to trust a bike......still in unknown territory at the moment.

@skyrider.......as you're interested in one of these, I don't know whether you saw the Cold Start vid I did earlier in the week. The bloody thing has been laid up for weeks now......so I wanted to see how it started after standing in very low temps down to -7.

Yeh......being dead does somewhat restrict future trespassing possibilities!

I think it was more to do with putting a big hole in the gippo's back with a sawn off rather than a telecommunications issue Keith.

I think if he'd had a nice Rotax engine he could have got there in time for a spot of genocide!

@Clive @Swagman......here's a good one from @Tym's past. A few years ago now.....he can tell you more. Apparently there was somebody in the woods shooting at people......so the Cops told people to stay away from that area till they'd got him. Tym wasn't happy about that so he grabbed a load of weapons, jumped on the KLR and raced off to the woods so HE could shoot the nutter himself. By the time he got there the cops had had him........so there was nobody left for Tym to shoot. He was inconsolable for weeks after that disappointment!

They were a thing for a year or two and then it was over.

The one? And @skyrider.......check out the Ride Reports section! Worth scrolling back to last Summer on there and checking out @Earache's Colorado reports. Nothing measures up to those!

You've done fuck all in terms of Ride Reports since I've known you.....but once @Grasshopper's Ride asks to see you out and about you can't get out on the bike quick enough!

If this is asking for mechanical advice count me out. I'm clueless! Tag me when you get to "Cleaning" and "Styling and Profiling".
