There were two things about the GS that I always remember! You could ride for hours, do hundreds of miles, and get off feeling as fresh as when you got on. Never experienced that with any other bike. And secondly (though this is a mental rather than physical aspect)......I've never felt as safe on a bike as I did on that! Can't explain why......maybe it's a combination of the braking, suspension, handling, and it's road presence.

Something wrong there.....mine went round corners like it was on rails. Never known a bike to be as planted as that was.

That's what they did in South Wales! If you've ever been to Port Talbot you'll know it's a fucking rough old industrial town. If people were too crazy for there they were shipped up the valley to Cymmer! And if they were too crazy for Cymmer (which takes some doing) they were sent further up the valley to Glyncorrwg! You don't ever want to go to Glyncorrwg......it was a no-go area 40 years ago, no idea if it's any better now. You can buy a terraced house there for 40K.......so probably not!

Some people have had great experiences with them over many years......but there's definitely some iffy ones about.

Only thing worse that could happen is Bruce turn up at the door dressed as Santa bringing him another bike! I'd give it a few months and we'd be onto Clive III.
