  1. I will need one at some point!
  2. Chain is good.....but it was very dry! Now given it a good soaking with Castrol Synthetic Lube!!
  3. Going to be a hot one this weekend! However, I do have a bike here now! And it actually works as well. Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth I plan to get out early on both days. I suggest you Trolling Blowhards do the same and we can then see if you can do anything other than run your gobs off on the Internet. Personally I don't think you can!
  4. Question for you.....what make pipes are on that?
  5. And this one is Honda number 14......there is history!
  6. Fucking TrollFest here today then! Any other forum and I'd be worshipped like a God!
  7. More than your Gay Harley would?
  8. Well I expected to wake up and find loads more trolling and abuse......but nothing? You lot run out of ideas now?
  9. I think this continual trolling is an early TOTY ploy......he's worried now that @Marcel has turned up!
  10. I think so too Ray......it's one of those bikes (like a Strom) that's actually a lot better in reality than what it seems to be on paper.
  11. The wife reckons the screen has an evil face that keeps looking at her from across the garage!
  12. I prefer the 19" wheel but I think the tyres are the issue here. I think Tourances will transform it......they're harder and have a higher profile.
  13. This is a far superior bike in reality.....and it's quicker as well.
  14. The front will need replacing first.....I'd say about 3k kms. Though I might change it before that time to improve the way the front end turns in.
  15. Scorched Earth here!
  16. Now bear in mind I'm no journo like Mawsley, and I have zero mechanical knowledge.....so all I can go on is how I felt on it. First off, just because it's only 500CC it's quite capable of picking up a bit of pace when you get the revs up. If anybody gets left behind on one of these under normal riding environments it ain't down to the bike. There's no power band, the power delivery is very linear......and it pulls well even from a standing start. It's physically small, and feels lighter than the 650GS even though it's a couple of kgs heavier. Like @Tango said, I'm not too convinced with these Dunlop tyres. They seem a bit vague to me and the turn in seems to be slow. They'll be replaced with Tourance when their time's up. Brakes are decent enough, suspension is fine, and it's very comfortable. Perfect fit for me really. Now the engine......it's fucking brilliant. I've never known such a smooth and quiet engine.....it just sort of burbles away and I never encountered any vibration. And the clutch and gearbox is even better! Apparently it's got a slipper clutch and there's literally no effort needed on the clutch lever. You don't even feel any jerk or loss of momentum as you switch between gears either. It's incredible. But it ain't for everybody! If you're used to big bikes with a lot of grunt then this is not for you. For the riding I do, and the roads I ride on it's perfect. And I also did a few miles at 120kph and it was showing around 5750 revs. It was no struggle, and I've no doubt that it could maintain it all day. No vibration and no buffeting from the screen either. Apparently they're amazing on fuel as well.....but I'll find that out as time goes on. To sum up, and as you can probably tell.....I think this bike is superb. It's far exceeded my expectations. By a very long way! Here's a short vid and a couple of pics in a few different riding environments!
  17. Well I've been out on it.......I'll put up a short report about it.
  18. I can't imagine it could be any worse Clive. This is my 14th Honda, but they were mainly in the 70's and 80's. Only had one outside that period which was the Transalp in 2004.
  19. After the drama with it's predecessor I could do with some boredom Bob!
  20. You knew how much I liked them Bob.......I nearly bought one when I got the Strom but all the second hand ones were 17" front wheels at the time. Haven't ridden it yet as it's still baking......but just sitting on it in the garage and everything just feels right.
