I can do oil changes you twat! But when you're nearly 70 and suffering with a Hernia you really don't feel much like doing it.

I found this on the CB500X forum.......the guy seems to know what he's talking about! 10W30 is a multigrade oil. When it is cold it has a viscosity of 10 (the weight of the oil) which means that it is thin. Exactly what you need in a cold engine. When the temperature is +100°C the oil has a viscosity of 30 (somewhat thicker). Again: exactly what you need with a warm engine. Switching to 10W40 is not a disaster: your cold engine runs with the same thin oil (viscosity 10) but when it has +100°C, it will run with a thicker oil (40). A thicker oil could be used when the engine is somewhat worn out as it offers a bit more protection. Remember: thicker oil is harder to pump around.

They advise not to use full synth in them! And anyway, with my oil changing routine of 3000 kms it wouldn't be worth it because longevity isn't a factor in my case.
-
I had Castrol Power 1 semi-synth!

What benefit is there in 10-30 then?
-
It covers the Costa del Sol, which includes Marbella! Serious money to live there!

Back from Juan Cortes! So much smoother now! For some reason Honda specify 10-30 instead of 10-40 on this.......so that's what it had!
-
Just gone live: Sol Simple Properties I'm now off to Baza for the oil and filter change!

I've always liked the Triple Blacks!

I've been working all bloody day so far.......some retirement. I saw that the UK govt are now considering putting up retirement age to 68! Won't be long before they round it up to 70!

It's not something I would have done in terms of adding the extra option because it constitutes changing a member's post. However.......as for deletion!
