I went on the bike to the shop for a few bits. Only a mile but I managed to stretch it to eight and a half along the lanes. People out everywhere walking, and hordes of the Lycra clad brigade. Twas good for the soul though.

They don't like bikes. Just blanket charges according to cubic capacity rather than emissions like cars. My car BMW 520d £30. Bike BMW R1200GS £91. s

Just put the tax on fuel and be done with it. The more miles you do, the more you pay. Maybe that's too easy.

I prefer iPhones.

Always the same approaching land in the tropics after a prolonged spell at sea. You could smell the jungle and earth.

When I had my Yamaha RD250 in the early seventies, I had to blip all the time because the bloody thing would keep oiling up one plug or the other, and it was the only way to stop it from stalling. The second cylinder would usually fire up half way around a corner in the wet, causing a huge pucker factor. Always kept me alert!

A bloke in Bangor caught me pissing on his wall in Bangor during the National Eisteddfod week in 1971. I apologised profusely stating that I wouldn't have pissed on it had I realised that it was his wall. He seemed placated, and bemused. No cops fortunately. Might have been a bit underaged at the time. ?

That’d really freak out the neighbours! Excellent. Left my respirator on my last ship as it took up too much space in my luggage. Would have been useful now.

My first bike after inheriting my father’s C50. Got it new and got pulled for speeding that night, running in. ?

I almost got one but fortunately couldn’t afford the h.p., thankfully! Wouldn’t have lasted.

Don’t know about that distinction thing. Too many disgraceful episodes behind me. I haven’t noticed too many hedges on your videos so I might be safe.
