Finished Hunter S Thompsons Hells Angels about a month ago and what a relief that was, tedious and repetitive. Gave some interesting insights but not worth trudging through it for them. The book flip flops between saying they’re not the violent criminals theyre portrayed to be but yes they are violent and criminal, an angry underclass of misfits born into bad circumstances and nowhere else to belong. It proceeds along those lines for many many pages simultaneously sympathising with them and then pointing at them like theyre trash. I can see why Sonny Barger didnt think a lot of it but if you have an interest in that type of club culture you might like it, it wasnt for me, cant remember the last time it took me so long to finish reading a book. Next up another book Ive avoided reading ‘Long way round’ by the much maligned Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor.

£3.99 plus £4.50 P&P for it to end up in the bin, definitely a no.

Although I would consider a fish tank, staring at a fish tank is very good for the blood pressure, like natures lava lamp and I understand there are companies in bristol that are happy to maintain the tank for you (for a fee) so perhaps a nice fish tank would be good. I did give my last one a whopping dose of tramadol as she was shuffling off and her saucer sized pupils were smiling on her way out which was nice. Sadly dont have anymore of that now frowned on opiate (left over from Mr Slowlys shoulder op) so the next two wont have that pleasure.

Thats very sad. Its definitely no more pets for me for a looong time, its too painful for too long. Plus I want to do some galavanting and pets don’t understand that you’re coming back, to them you went out hunter gathering and haven’t returned, they suffer disproportionately as a consequence. Well not the rabbits they dont give a shit, theyre nicely bonded to each other and so long as the food keeps coming they’ll laze around teasing cats while the goings good

@gymwitch that is a pain I understand far better than I want to, gone from five dogs to two in the last 18 months, you have all the sympathy I can send. Loathe as we are to say it out loud our dogs mean more to most of us than some of the relatives in our lives and that grief is hard. apparently thats the hug emoji which needs explanation unless the idea of jazz hands might make you smile a tiny bit?

Well that is sort of true. The vaccination gives your body’s immune system a memory of what the unwanted virus looks like so when the real deal turns up your immune systems bouncers are ready to go. A side effect of this in people with a reasonable immune response is the virus is wiped out before it gets a hold or to the shedding stage which is where you are shedding diseased cells and can infect other people. The shedding timing is different in different diseases. So by their very nature all immunisations cut down on disease transmission. This is how the herd immunity effect works, it helps to protect the unvaccinated because it becomes difficult for the virus to transmit and that gives protection to the morons who dont want to get vaccinated. So yes someone can have a vaccination and still catch a disease and pass it on its just at a vastly reduced rate. Its not something they want to broadcast at the moment because its not useful for compliance with mask wearing or crowd control before they have enough people jabbed.

Yes. Infection rates are rising but hospitalisation and deaths currently arent increasing at the same rate which is the key factor. Getting a mild illness that requires no intervention and causes no long term disability is the key.

I’m torn. Id like all three and love the Himalayan thats no flyweight but its a compromise. The lighter the better until youve got cover ground.
