  1. I think there was a shortage, possibly not so much of a shortage anymore. It was all his way or no way there was zero negotiation with him and I'd been more than lenient with him so his loss
  2. Well that went down like a lead balloon at the yard with the "boss" so I pulled up and before I even get out of the car he's effing and blinding and calling me everything under the sun, saying I'm just there to piss him off and intimidate him, I couldn't get a word in edge ways he was proper red faced with anger and slamming his fists down on anything close enough going on about high blood pressure or some other shit, when I asked him if he thought he was in the right about taking my week's wage without so much as talking to me about it first he said it was his perogative.... er no you need to talk to the person involved before you do that, then he said apparently iv caused 10k damage to the wagon since I've had it..... when asked to come up with exactly what damage he just said the bar on the top sheet was bent and couldn't say anything else. Then I tried to explain to him why I'd taken 2 Mondays off recently and he didn't want to know and he was saying that if I take anymore time off then that's me out of the door.... so I decided to take it out of his hands and I told him to fuck off and cleared my truck out. I'm having the rest of the week off and will be sorting something out at the start of next week. Word of warning don't ever do business with thinford shavings Ltd they are not a a proper business
  3. Well im off up to the yard this morning to have a word with my gaffa seen as he hasn't even attempted to contact me regarding my non payment of wages last week, he didn't contact me about it before he did it I just got to Friday last week and he hadn't paid me, I spoke to sammie who deals with us drivers and she knew nothing about it, on further investigation he told her its because I'd had 2 days holiday over that which I'd accrued. I've sent emails and asked sammie to get him to call me but he just refuses so today is the day I will surprise him at the yard so we can finally get something sorted out, so yeah I guess watch this space it could get interesting seeing as the last time I spoke to him over the phone he's Billy big bollocks but in person his bollocks shrink and he's all nicey nicey.
  4. Well Fuck guess I'm rumbled now eh
  5. I have no idea mate I've not even looked in to it yet
  6. Obviously I wouldn't be comparing it with a busa nothing else is in that league bar the zzr14 or the ninja h2. I'd be comparing it to the street glide special I test rode back in 2019 because that's the only other cruiser I have ridden to compare it to
  7. You want me to go test ride an Indian and give you my unbiased review?
  8. Abit of lead time on them, maybe they were made to order instead of off the shelf
  9. I wondered if it was, how come it doesn't go down the rear like it does on a road bike?
  10. What's that tube for that comes over the top and down the l/h fork leg?
  11. Is that a luggage rack for panniers in the second pic?
  12. I don't see a problem, I'll get some for the wife's Xmas present
  13. Well not so sure about the beard thing as I'm usually sporting quite a good beard but the not washing thing is the issue and I'm not so sure I want tassles on my handlebars or to wear assless chaps
  14. Some of you should remember the write up I did after I had the test ride, I was doing it in response to someone wanting an unbiased review so I indulged and then vowed never to ride another harley as long as I lived
  15. It's very light drizzle here... just when I was planning on doing some work on the car.....
  16. It was a 2019 bike, it was a test ride bike and in a straight line no problem but put a corner in its way and try and negotiate it at anything but a walking pace and the boards would ground out with just the smallest whiff of lean angle. Yes the engine had some low down torque but ran out of puff way too fast and it was constantly up and down the box. Not my idea of a fun engaging motorcycle
  17. I have ridden a hardly street glide before and it was horrible so
  18. Fixed for you What makes it sporty? And that's not taking the piss that is a genuine question
  19. Hmm I'd call that the bike riders fault, he was the one to make contact with the car first, and it looks like a harley so automatically at fault either way
  20. I had a gs550es in 2006/7 it was the same age as me. Well I had it till I got caught on a provisional licence and no insurance and it had a close to illegal rear tyre. Surprisingly they didn't confiscate the bike on the spot, but they did say that if I was caught riding it again they'd throw the book at me, so I pushed it down the road abit waited a good while to see the coast was clear and rode the bike home like I'd stole it. Not my best period of life but I learnt my lesson and got my licence. I got the bike home without further incident then decided to stop me from riding it I'd strip it and rebuild it, well the strip down went well enough and I was cleaning things up and starting to rebuild it when funds ran out to complete the job so it got sidelined
  21. Direct him in bummer buckies direction he's no longer a friend of yours. I guess you could be friends till Xmas so you could get him some assless chaps and handlebar tassles just to complete the look
  22. Get yourself out for a run to the end of the road and back, do that twice a day you'll be right as rain in 20 years
